My wife and I have been to Torote on more than one occasion and I must say that it has been a fantastic experience every time. We have been for their breakfast multiple times and have never been disappointed. The staff is simply amazing and always make you feel like you are a person who deserves all the pampering in the world. We have also been there several times for dinner and again it is always amazing. We have been renting an AirBnB in the Valle del Sol community which basically puts the restaurant in our back yard while we are here. Earlier this month my wife decided to invite several of our friends here in Cabo to join us at the restaurant for my birthday. There were seven of us all together and what a night we had. The evening started with a beautiful salad made fresh by Chef Victor and his kitchen staff that was simply amazing, followed up by empanadas for seven. I have been to many different countries and had the opportunity to eat all kinds of different cultural foods but have always been a little apprehensive about doing so, but not here and certainly not those empanadas. They had a mixture of pork, vegetables and cheese and they were simply spiced with tons of flavour. You can certainly tell that the ingredients are fresh and made on site. Everyone chose differently for their main course, obviously, and mine I chose an imported 8.8 oz beef tenderloin, which I ordered Med Rare, with a side of Lemon Roasted Asparagus. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and seasoned to the same standard. After our main courses we had some fresh made Churros delivered with their caramel sauce and chocolate sauce. All of this food was simply outstanding. For the piece-de-resistance was the home-made birthday cake that was just out of this world. When you put all of that together it's an incredible evening but when you add to it how the staff treated us all like we were well known celebrities, the restaurant manager, Roberto, Hostess Gloria and Chef Victor all coming to say hello and check to ensure everyone was enjoying their time and food it really makes for an exceptional experience, as we were all made to feel like family. Our bill was not as high as one might expect either considering the amount of High Quality wine and other alcoholic drinks we all consumed that evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant for many reasons, not just the food, but their customer service from each and every staff member, starting with Salo who is one of the valets there and usually the first face you see when you arrive at the restaurant. The fact that the restaurant happens to be nestled in this very unique community is also a drawing point. They have a small "Farm area" across the street from the Torote which has a pen of chickens, another of rabbits and an little coral with a full grown donkey, a miniature pony, several goats of all ages from newborn to several years old and some sheep. You can get a small can of vegetables from the restaurant to take over to feed some of the animals for free of charge and it ads a nice little touch to the evening. From the terrace (second floor), you get a clear view of Cabo Bay and the rock formations there. When all of this gets added together, I do not believe that I have ever enjoyed myself more on an evening out...

Nestled amidst the serene embrace of majestic mountains, our recent visit to Torote unveiled an experience that was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment we stepped through its doors, we were whisked away into a world where culinary excellence and romance intertwine effortlessly.

The ambiance of Torote sets the stage for a magical evening with its dim, twinkling lights mimicking a starlit sky, and the soft melodies that serenade you throughout your meal, creating an intimate backdrop for unforgettable moments. The panoramic windows offer breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, painting a picturesque scene that complements the exquisite dining experience.

The menu, a testament to the chef's mastery and creativity, offers an array of dishes that tantalize the taste buds and awaken the senses. Each course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and prepared with the utmost care and precision. The flavors were complex yet harmonious, showcasing a blend of local ingredients and innovative culinary techniques that could only be described as Michelin-worthy.

A standout dish was the roasted seabass, a symphony of textures and flavors that left us in awe. The wine list was equally impressive, with a selection that perfectly complements each dish, enhancing the flavors and adding to the overall dining experience.

The service at Torote deserves its own accolades. The staff was attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring our evening was seamless and every need was anticipated with a smile. Their recommendations were spot-on, reflecting their deep knowledge of the menu and a genuine desire to make our experience memorable.

In essence, Torote is not just a restaurant; it's a destination for those seeking to indulge in a culinary journey amidst the beauty of nature. It's a place where romance is always in the air, and every meal feels like a celebration of love and gastronomy. For anyone looking to escape the mundane and dive into a world of flavor, beauty, and warmth, torote is a must-visit. It's not just deserving of a five-star review—it's a place that leaves you dreaming of stars beyond the...

This is a must eat in Cabo. The whole experience was top notch. It was our anniversary so we wanted to go somewhere special. This place exceeded every expectation we had. The ride in I was a little hesitant because the roads are not paved and it looks like your are driving to the middle of nowhere but once you are there, OMG. They were doing a promotional video for their event space and asked us and several other patrons to take part. They had a band playing and gave us a few complimentary cocktails and some small appetizers. The event space is breathtaking and very quaint. I wish I knew someone getting married so I could recommend it. We just went for dinner so all of this was just a beautiful surprise to the evening. After the band played a few songs we went up to the top floor to watch the sunset. You absolutely cannot beat a Cabo sunset on top of mountain over looking the Sea of Cortez. We ordered a few cocktails that were delicious and the baked Brie appetizer, yum! Then I ordered the tenderloin and my husband got the ribeye with potatoes and grilled vegetables. Both us thought it was the most flavorable steak we had ever had. We then ordered the corn cheesecake. It was a very unique combination of flavors but one of the best cheesecakes I had ever had. After dinner we were offered a tour of the grounds. If they offer this to you please take them up on it. The host got some fruit scrapes from the kitchen and took us to meet the animals. We met the goats and donkeys and got to feed them. I am a huge animal lover so this made my night. On our way back to restaurant we saw the chef and he introduced us to some puppies he had rescued. Y'all, I got to snuggle puppies. The chef was so personable and friendly and you can tell we really had a passion for this restaurant and what he does. Please check out this place. The whole experience was just magical and they went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and special. And the food was some of the best we have...

This place is just absolutely incredible. I have not been blown away in a long time but boy did they get me. I am still in shock that this was such an incredible dining experience. I was reading a few reviews and they just do not do it justice and I am referring to the positive reviews. To start with the place is absolutely incredible and they put a lot of though into the environment. They took advantage of the layout and the setup provided beautiful views. The food was even more incredible than the environment. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here. No joke, it was plate licking good and for me that is a bold statement. The staff were just unbelievable too. They had to have had a master class or something on service because I cannot remember another time I was treated so amazing by staff. There is good but they were great. Armando was our server and every single question he was asked was answered fully and sometimes more than once as I have a hearing issue and he repeated things with a smile. Our greeter was Marina and she was just on another level. She took us on a tour of the property while the valet got our car after dinner and even took us to see the animals and allowed us to feed them. She brought veggies so we can do it. If you go I highly recommend you ask to take the tour. So beautiful. I know there are a ton of great places to eat in Cabo but if you don't come here you truly missed out. One of the top 10 places I have ever eaten in my life.

Out of the way dinner with lovely views. Minus 1 star because they don’t have cell service or offer WiFi to book Ubers- you are forced to use their taxi service to get back to your hotel (expect +35USD for 2 people, which I find to be a total rip off since we paid 8USD to get there). The good: Beautiful views and delicious food. We had a stunning table upstairs right at the edge. Went for Valentine’s Day, where they offered a set menu for 1,890MXN per person. Started with cocktails which we shook ourselves, both options were with mezcal- very tasty. Appetizers: Pistachio & Parmesan Risotto Arancini, Smoked Tuna Mousse on Sweet Potato Chips Shared Starters: Baked Oysters, Beetroot with Honey and Grapefruit Vinaigrette, Fried Shrimp with Shaved Asparagus Main: Beef fillet with smoked pumpkin puree Dessert: Cheesecake, Cream puffs, Macaron, Coffee cocktail. Dessert was served in their new event venue, which looked very nice. There was a live saxophone player which was pretty fun. The not-so-good: The aforementioned taxi rip-off put a sour taste on the evening. We are happy to pay for great food and service and felt we got what we paid for when it came to food/drinks, but the taxi was a blatant & tasteless money grab. Service for food was extremely slow, and at times it felt as if our waiter had forgotten about us. Overall, lovely place, worth a visit. I probably won’t be back though.
