Mama Espinoza Restaurante is a great place on the main road for casual dining. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is all good and includes lobster and crab dishes. In addition to traditional Mexican food, they offer many familiar favorites. The portions will satisfy hungry travelers. Their seafood includes fish tacos, which are excellent. Carne asada is another favorite. Meals come with nicely seasoned frijoles and fresh tortillas. There is a small store off of the main dining area where you can find souvenirs, tee shirts, and locally made clothing. Read moreMama's is a MUST stop when you're in the area. Had fish tacos at 8:30 am and they were the absolute best. Fresh ingredients and fish was fried perfectly. The restaurant has a really cool setting as it was one of the first Baja 1000 check points in the 60s. When opened, Mama had only lobster and tortillas to serve her customers. The restaurant has made a name for itself for sure. Tons of Baja 1000 memorabilia to look at. We met Mama's grandson who speaks very good English and shared a ton of Baja spots to check out. He even marked them on a map for us! We will be stopping in again on our way back north to try their famous lobster burritos!...

They had a hot drink and tried their best to bridge the language g ap, they were genuinely interested in us and how they could help us warm up and get fed as well as let us promote our race team while we were in their small town. Warm, welcoming, friendly, and wicked tacos, my god, they were hot, tasty, made right in front of us as we sat on stools around the kitchen and they were fast and well priced.
