I cannot express how great this little place is. Carlos greeted us happily the moment we got there and immediately got to recommending us the rock shrimp. He even brought out the uncooked shrimp to show it to us so he could better explain. From talking to him, you can tell how much he loves seafood and wants you to fall in love with it too. He recommended something that wasnt on the menu, and we accepted greatly. It turned out to be the best thing we had through our whole trip. He also brought out stingray ceviche for us to try for free too. It was amazing. Do get the rock shrimp. We love this place, and are blessed to have met Carlos.

Este restaurante es algo muy especial en Cancún. Es el único lugar al que yo vendría específicamente a comer en Cancún. Ninguno otro tiene un platillo con verdadera personalidad. Ni los más caros y fancy de la zona hotelera ofrecen algo así. Hablo de los camarones de roca. OJO!!: no son camarones roca (pedazos de camarón capeados con mayonesa y chipotle, eso es lo típico y hay en todos lados. Estos camarones DE roca son verdaderamente especiales. Desde el sabor del bicho mismo hasta la preparación: hay que pedirlos al ajo. INIGUALABLES. INSUPERABLES. Además tienen historia. Hay que preguntarla al dueño. Carlos. Segunda generación. Es un lugar muy Sencillo, tipo medio cantina sin serlo porque es familiar. Pero también tienen una minilla de cazón espectacular, que no se encuentra en Cancún. Además el lugar siempre está disponible, es decir nunca está atascado de gente. Los precios maravillosos de buenos. Servicio bien tambien. Super mega recomendado. Pero ojo: los camarones de roca no están todo el año garantizados pues Carlos y su personal saben respetar la veda. Además son tan buenos que casi toda la producción se va fuera de México pero ellos saben con quién ir para apartarlos y tener la mayor disponibilidad posible...

Excellent and affordable seafood spot in Cancun! I recommend the rock shrimp, octopus ceviche, and the fried fish. The owner buys the seafood himself directly from local fishermen, so it’s guaranteed to be fresh.
