La Toscana — Restaurant in Chihuahua

Normally I go to the Simona Barbara location which has treated us very well for the last few years. Our first time at the ejército nacional location was not so good.

The jamón serrano entré was very tasty. Our server was very attentive although the soccer finals where loudly broadcastly on many big screen TV's

My wife had the Perruza salad with extra chicken and the plate looked delicious. But to her dislike it contained a miniscule amount of Feta Cheese and almost no Frutos Rojos. The manager offered to send for a new salad but we decided to just skip it as she had already enjoy Ed a few slices of my pizza.

My pizza taste good but was brought to the table luke warm. I could have said something but decided to finished it and leave quickly instead of trying to rescue this night.

The place looks great and I am sure that our experience was just a result of being there I a Sunday evening during the biggest soccer finals...

The service kind of compensates for the noticeable decrease in food quality and preparation. Every pizza is overloaded with black olives so the client cannot see pizza sauce and the other missing ingredients. The jamon serrano in the pizza was old and had months frezed, it tasted like that and also they put it in the pizza as little cubes, which everyone does when you have a frezed block of food, it used to be fine slices before . So avoid pizzas at all cost. The pastas where eatable but don't eat the carbonara, tastes like mayonnaise. Very disappointed, it was a fine place for pizza, pasta snd to celebrate with friends. For pizzas go anywhere...

drinks were served quickly, the salad as well. the main course did take longer than expected, and it was only pasta and lasagna. the female servers should not have their hair loose, it should be a golden rule. too many tables crammed just to serve more, servers specially like the person preparing pasta at your table had issues getting to it, we also had a difficult path to exit. restaurant is very clean, good atmosphere, the tv's on the wall showing sports defeats the purpose, like a fancy family dining experience, but it also serves as a sports bar. price is well above average, hard to say when...
