This is very good authentic Mexican food in a town known for its burritos and asadero cheese. I love the carne desebrada (shredded boiled beef cooked up and browned a bit on a solid grill) con asadero ( a soft supple white cheese) a la Mexicana (just enough chopped and grilled up onions and peppers to make it warm, but not hot.)
They have a wide variety of local and name brand soft drinks. I don't know if they sell beer, as I don't drink, but it's no bar, it has a nice small town atmosphere with local regulars and many travelers.
I also love their burritos con huevos revueltos con asadero a la Mexicana. Their lunch specials are good, especially their own soups. Simple delicious fare...
If you're headed to Chihuahua City buy an extra burrito to go for supper. But don't try to bring one into El Paso, or at least declare it. Get a packet if their caramelized...
