El Fogón de Comala — Restaurant in Colima

This place was great from the very start. Just walking in the combination of the decor and view of the outdoor scenery was very pleasing and after a very very long day of travel, it was also comforting. The food was good as well. As an appetizer we ordered the gorditas doradas and those themselves already had us hooked. There's just something about a perfect gordita that really hits the spot, especially with their 3 delicious sauces they provided. For entrees we order the enchiladas which were good and a comalote with tatemada ( a type of cooked pork), and that one sealed the deal. This place is officially one of our go tos now 😂. It was delicious, especially with the tatemada. The portion size was very generous as well. As for service, it was pretty good with them checking up with us frequently and when it was time to go they even packed up our left overs for us. We found this place through a friend's recommendation and they mentioned that it gets packed on weekends so show up early or be ready to wait....

El paisaje hacia lo verde del campo con la suave luz de la mañana te revitaliza mientras degustas los deliciosos platillos regionales.
