A very local and authentic place to eat, Los Portales de Suchitlán has been around for over 50 years and continues to draw crowds for lunch and dinner. There are a lot of choices of meats, side dishes and varies accoutrements to put together some great tacos or other Mexican dishes. The different kinds of meat are marinated and grilled deliciously and the fried tortillas are scrumptious with some guacamole and spicy salsa. There is a variety of local beers available as well, and they have a nice selection of desserts. Service was fast...

Los Portales was a great place to eat. 5 stars for the atmosphere, serving staff and chief. With those wonderful aspects of the restaurant, the unfriendly cashier destroyed the wonderful vibe we all felt there. We were on our final stop for our tour. We ate then walked up to pay. The cashier acted like we were imposing on her relatively easy sit-down job. She didn't want to separate our bill so we did it. Note: we got there early afternoon, so it wasn't very busy until we were about ready to leave. Anyway, very poor...

This restaurant brings good food and the beauty of nature together into one beautiful experience. Under the green cover of tall trees, you can enjoy fresh cheese (probs the best I’ve had in years, if we’re being honest), blue corn tortillas, and outstanding pozole. The service was also outstanding. Our server was very patient with my grandmother’s excessive requests, and when my sister started to feel faint at the table, they rushed over with orange juice and a glass of water. Overall, 10/10 experience and I look forward to...

It's a nice place if you like country style restaurants, there's tables where you can sit inside and outside. Whichever you prefer, you still get a nice view. I'll say it's a fresh place to have your meal surrounded by nature and wildlife (birds). When I was there, it was almost full, but even with that it was comfortable. If you like Mexican food, I'll recommend you to visit

This is a great place if you like rabbit and traditional Mexican food. In the village of Suchitlan about half an hour north of Colima. Great atmosphere, good food, good service at a modest price. I had rabbit in a delicious red sauce, normally, I have had it grilled, but this was just fine, served with rice and a pot of very good beans.
