Fortino's is located in the small Mexican village of Colimilla which is across the lagoon from the town of Barra de Navidad.

It is a wonderful restaurant located right on the water and if you are in Barra, easily accessible by water taxi. If you go to the Fortino's stand I believe the boat ride over is free.

We are staying in the town of Colimilla so we have now been there several times this year and it has been excellent every time.

The night menu includes sushi which is fresh and delicious. The coconut shrimp are excellent as well. My husband always orders the fresh crab and has never been disappointed.

They make an exceptional margarita at Fortinos and that alone is worth the trip over. Several times on my way home from Barra I jump out of the boat and head there for a refreshing beverage before heading home!

It is a wonderful family owned establishment with...

Place is beautiful and Merry. I saw some favoritism, I hope that I'm wrong but I sensed some over priced format of my order not really understanding the total amount and costs of my orders and I just paid a lot of money for the food. Again, I hope that I'm wrong, but I felt like the owner knew that I was a tourist and said, "Hey, why not?" It's not me to be right, but it isn't me to be wrong and allow others to get hurt out there. I work to damn hard, that's all I do! Shoot! Talk about...

We ordered 2 orders of the lobster carbon for 395 pesos each. It was a very small portion, tasteless, over priced meal. The service was very slow. The boat ride cost 100 pesos for 2 people. There are better and realistic priced restaurants in Barra. The bands rolled through playing for tips. They were good. I will not return to...

Volvería a regresar?
