This restaurant was the highlight of our trip. We stayed at the One&Only right when it opened and ate 5 nights in a row at Carao because we adored it so much. We got engaged at the One&Only on that trip as well so it is a very special place to us.
We were going to be staying in Punta Mita next weekend and were excited to drive up to Mandarina for dinner at Carao. But upon calling, they said the restaurant is closed to external parties and only open for hotel guests. This was extremely disappointing--as it is one of our favorite places on earth, we are devastated to not be able to dine here! They should understand there are many luxury hotels in the area that people are interested in trying out, but that their restaurant is still such a destination.
