We were on our way from Tulum to Mahahual, on the long monotonous road. Around noon we felt like we need a coffee and a light lunch. We were actually hoping for a coffee bar as we are big coffee aficionados, and didn't really expect to find anything like it. To our great surprise we suddenly saw a coffee bar, when we had to slow down due to a 'tope' (speed bump).
Excited we went inside. Of course it's not a hip coffee bar from a big city, but the place was nice, clean and decent. Maybe a bit too sober, some plants and art would make it cosier. What really stood out to me was the music. It was not the local Mexican music you always hear, but a nice choice of tasteful international bands. Quiet and pleasant.
We opted for a cappuccino and a 'club special' (a triple-decker sandwich made up of three slices toasted white bread, deli-sliced turkey or chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise.). Both were well prepared, tasty, large portion and sufficient quality. Also the team was attentive and friendly.
All in all, this was a pleasant stop on our way, and we continued our...
Read moreThis family-friendly modern café is such a gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for relaxing after exploring the nearby market or visiting the local cenote (which is still a bit of a hidden spot an hour outside of Tulum). Their menu includes fresh cakes, delicious coffee options, and even matcha — one of my favorites.
I ordered the avocado toast, and honestly, it was one of the best brunch dishes I’ve had in a long time. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I also loved that they have pictures on the menu — it makes choosing easy for families or travelers.
A unique little shop in a bustling town, with something for everyone, from great food to excellent drinks. Highly recommend stopping by for a cozy and satisfying brunch experience or a meal alll throughout...
Read moreStopped here for a bite to eat and while the menu read well, the meals were extremely slow and they came out one at a time over the period of more than one hour. There was one other person in the restaurant. The enchiladas were cold and saturated in molle which was not as described on the menu, and the nachos took 55 minutes to come out and then was very disappointing with simple diced chicken and diced avocado on top with very little effort put into the taste or presentation. The cost of our meals for 4 people cost 800 pesos (not including tip) for which was also completely overpriced for the experience, service and meal quality. Definitely not as described and can...
