This Asadero was recommended by my cab driver. It didn't disappoint.
Went multiple times during my visit Delicious fire grilled chicken (multiple sauces you can choose from to have your bird basted with), pork ribs were meaty, as was the flanken style beef ribs. Different from what I was expecting. Pleasantly surprised. Didn't try the pork chops. Next Time. Did try the carnitas...many times. Different sides come with different meats. A variety of packages available for both take-out as well as sit-down service (rice, slaw, pasta, drinks... Or just by the kilo). Take-out was less expensive. Lots of drinks available, variety depending on weekends vs. weekday. Good Lemonada. Cold beer. Staff is friendly and worked patiently with me while ordering (my Spanish speaking skills are not the best). Attentive. Friendly.
Chairs were solid, lots of fans, open air on one wall, but still covered and sequestered from the street. A place where locals go. A relief from tourist-centric spaces.
Bathrooms were clean, but stalls in the ladies room were small/tight.
Not cheep, not expensive. Delicious...

There are several flavors to choose from for the chicken. The tortillas made fresh at the restaurant are the best! You won't leave hungry, we are small eaters and share everything. They have some good package deals that include a refresco. There are two locations (Ixtapa and Zihuat) and both are...
