The Secret Garden — Restaurant in Hunucmá

I won’t exaggerate when I say that coming to this beautiful cafe was one of the highlights of my trip to Mexico. By chance we decided to stop and walk around this small town and the colorful cafe caught my attention walking by - especially since there was also a nice corner outside the cafe for the stray dogs and cats which means the owner clearly has a big heart. And that she does - Malena is a wonderful woman who welcomed us in as if we were family, and put aside her tasks to make us feel comfortable and provided us with delicious coffee and food. She absolutely made our visit delightful and I can’t imagine such a great place exists in this small town.
