Asador Santa Anita — Restaurant in Jalisco

This is the greatest restaurant in Jalisco. I swear. I've tried everything from the the 6 peso tacos in mercado Corona, to the fanciest french restaurants in town.

I ate till my stomach hurt.

Everything, and I mean everything, was done spectacularly.

As soon as you enter, they have an appetizer and salad station ready to go. Just this tiny sliver of the restaurant is better food than the majority of whole restaurants in the city.

There's so much attention to detail to make every single item taste not only fresh, but also prepared to the correct texture.

Take for example the plain iceberg lettuce. You can tell they spent time rehydrating them to make sure they're as crisp as possible. You can only do that the same day or else they get mushy. I have yet to see this tiny thing be done ANYWHERE in Guadalajara, and this isn't even a salad restaurant.

Take that tiny detail and multiply it over the hundreds of other touches that I don't have space to write about and you can begin to imagine why this place is so highly rated.

Well, there is much to say about this place. This amazing steak house. Its a traditional blend of Mexican welcoming culture and amazing food. It has everything, even live music fridays and sundays. The steaks are pretty good, and prices are amazing. But wait, there is more. They have this amazing deal all week, 3x1 on any shot drink. So you pay like 1 shot and get 2 more free. That to me, is muy admirable. I had seen those deals inside gdl by providencia, but to have this in the southern region, priceless. Staff are super friendly, props to my server Oscar, and the badass manager Gabriel. These 2 guys made my night a blast. I went there for mere curiosity, but i stayed for the amazing warmth atmosphere. Fridays its live...
