Casa Romero — Restaurant in Jalisco

The owners are a delightful couple both born and raised in Etzatlán. This restaurant seems to be wildly successful, and I'm not a bit surprised. Though one will pay a little more for a meal at this restaurant compared with other places in town, the experience and taste are well worth it, believe me!I paid roughly $15 USD for probably one of the best dining experiences I've ever had (no exaggeration), and it included more food than I could handle. I highly recommend their mango jericalla for pre-entree (even though it's a meal unto itself) and the carne picañe, which will make you never want to eat a regular steak again. So much potential. All our food was cold. Sigh. The platters are made of wood, which seem quaint, but as the juices from the food soak into it...over time they get gross and collect bacteria. The flavor and presentation is great but please, just because it's a small town does not mean you should not pay attention to detail. Serve the food warm, on time with the other guests dishes, use real plates or other metal platters to keep the food warm...

Unas de las peores experiencias que eh tenido en tour de restaurantes... Meseros, Chefs (management) de lo mas fatal que podrán imaginar. Llego a este pueblo (muy bonito por cierto) y mis colegas de la universidad me recomiendan este restaurante haha (soy crítico de restaurantes ) y bonita fachada igual adentro muy ambiental pero cuando ablamos de la hora de pedir la orden en la mesa horrible... llego alas 9:30 con mi familia nos sentamos y pasa media hora y nadie nos atiende 10:00 porfin 🙏 llega uno y y nos da las cartas se va 10:30 llega nos pide la orden y bebidas 🥤y aqui es donde empieza la pesadilla, llevan y llevan a mesas que llegaron mucho después que nosotros y de repente alas 11:25 llega un platillo (uno) de 8 invitados y media hora después otro no otros otroo! Estabamos cansados de esperar. Lo feo en esto porke no se dedican a una mesa y empezarla asta el final no traigan comida en pausas y que unas simple orden de papas ala francesa tarden 2 horas en llegar! Primera y última ves...
