Deguzman — Restaurant in Jalisco

I was not sure about the place, it took us a lot of time to decide to go but.. today we finally went and give it a try. The food was good, we started with some lechón tacos and were just delicious the meat was soft & juicy. Then we try the lengua in barbacoa uff was perfect, meat was soft & very tasty and the barbacoa was in the perfect point, no exaggerated flavors. The only thing that we could not enjoy there was the dessert, something happened that it took more than expected to get served and we were in a rush. The service was also good but the place was not crowded so maybe it could be not that good if there...

La comida fue regular y el costo me parece excesivo a comparación de otros restaurantes de mejor calidad, ademas la variedad de platillos es deficiente. Lo peor de este lugar fue una situación bastante desagradable que describo a continuación: En primer lugar pedí un queso fundido, en el cual me salió un hilo de tela, que no se de donde vino, por este detalle me ofrecieron un Cheesecake gratis lo cual me pareció bien, pero al final al pagar la cuenta que entre 6 personas fue de alrededor de 3,700.00 pague con una tarjeta y dejamos en promedio unos 270 pesos de propina en efectivo lo cual por atender a 6 personas es bastante respetable, después de pagar y al percatarse el mesero que la propina no cumplía con el 10% a este jovencito se le ocurrió regresar y decirnos que se sugería un 10% de propina como pareciéndole poco 270 pesos por atender a 6 personas. En la vida me habían salido con semejante tontería, he visitado mejores restaurantes en el país y en Estados Unidos y jamás en ningún lugar (déje lo que déje) me habían hecho semejante grosería, por este detalle grosero en la vida vuelvo me vuelvo a parar ahí y a organizar reuniones de empresa en este lugar. Espero que el dueño tome cartas en el asunto porque si esta estupidez es política significa que si voy y pido una botella de 1500 debo darle al menos 150 al mesero solo por esa botella de vino....

Every time I visit this town I make a stop at deGuzman. My favorite is the ceviche marrano, tostadas de atun & the panela asada. The grilled vegetables are done perfectly.
