As part time residents here, this is one of our top 2 places to eat in town. Gonzalo is a one-man show, maître D, waiter, Cook, busser, and bartender— I don’t know how he does it! As he is literally the only one working the restaurant, my recommendation would be to call or stop by during the day, tell him what you want and what time you’ll be there, otherwise, especially if you are a large party, you could be waiting an hour for your food. But it is well worth the wait. His Molcajete is OUTSTANDING, his chili relleno is famous in town (Tues only), his tortilla soup is uniquely delicious, the Mole is solid and his Caesar salad (along with Martin’s, at his restaurant) arguably make for La Manzanilla being the highest quality Caesar salads per capita...

An hour after we ordered food, the owner, who was working completely alone and was totally overwhelmed, came back to our table to ask what we had ordered?
