Definitely a hidden gem right up to the moment you walk in the door. From the drive into the hills until getting out of the car and walking in, it’s hard to imagine how nice of an experience this will be. We sat by the river, heard a great band, watch kids rope swing into the water and had a very pleasant time. Our server was incredibly attentive, the cervezas were very cold and the cocktail menu was nice. We had pulled pork nachos as an appetizer and a “Sampler” from the Chefs choices meant for a party of four and is was so much food, our party of four could finish it! The pork on the nachos was terrific with a nice amount of smoke. The sampler had; large ribs, wings, sliced steak, sausages, pico, beans and guacamole. So much food. Not a fan of the sausage, the wings were good, the steak was amazing but the ribs were fantastic. Next visit I’ll do ribs only or maybe the steak. Both were well smoked with flavor and very tender.

Food- I had a burrito and it was fantastic with grilled onions, mushrooms, etc along with the meat. Generous size. Service is not great - they do all their business in 3 to 4 hours. So this place gets packed and they get backed up. And many ways it's not their fault, but still the service isn't great. We ordered a bottle of wine, pina colada and a margarita. The margarita never came. We asked about it. Never came. We ordered another margarita. Never came. So we went to the bar and ordered it there. I also asked for silverware (the salad, guacamole, etc - never got it. I used the two tortilla chips as spoons to eat my salad and put guac on the burrito. Not great. This is the spot for...

Great ribs! As someone from Alberta I'm used to great quality meat and this place didnt disappoint. We had the full rack of BBQ pork ribs and they were delicious, fall off the bone, and the size of my head! Service was very attentive and everyone spoke fluent English and Spanish . The live music band the gecko band vallarta was also allot of fun. Beautiful atmosphere, shaded patio and river to keep cool. Family, kid and pet friendly place to spend the day. Bring a towel and a swimsuit if you want to take a dip in the river (it's very deep water in some areas so perfect for swimming). They do pickle ball too in the mornings and breakfast.
