A superior dining experience! I've never experienced anything like it. If they aren't able to seat you immediately, you are taken to a large waiting area where they serve horchata and Japanese peanuts. There is a bar there as well, although it was closed. We were there on a Monday; perhaps they only open it on the weekends. There is a very nice playground area for the kids and the restaurant provides attendants to look after them. It has a trampoline, slides and crafts. There is an extra charge for the crafts. There are two large beautiful outdoor dining areas under canopies and two indoor dining areas. All are beautifully decorated. As soon as we were seated, our server brought small plates of appetizers, which was perfect because we were starving. I heard the food was good, but when i received the tostathas they came with cheese after asking for them without cheese. After 20 mins I received them perfectly. Everything is served one at a time. I received the fries two hours later, burned and with barely any fries. Then we asked for new fries and they said no problem. We never received the fries, or the side of avocado. We had to cancel the order and where very upset with the service. We were the first to sit at a table then all the other tables were filled and were given the good first. El restaurante el Senador es un restaurante que ha ido creciendo mucho con los años, es un lugar muy concurrido, sobre todo los fines de semana, el lugar esta dividido en dos áreas, una que es el restaurante principal, la cual esta muy agradable, ordenado y buena decoración, baños limpios, también cuentan con una sección que utilizan como salón de eventos y agregan mesas y sillas para poder dar abasto a sus comensales (esta área sobre todo la pegada al estacionamiento deben remodelarla o hacer algo para mejorar, ya que si te toca en esta sección te sientes castigado sobre todo la vista hacia los autos y un estacionamiento de grava y la barra de eventos El servicio de los meseros es MUY BUENO, la comida también, te reciben con taquitos de de frijol y hueva de cortesía, fruta picada. EL GRAN PROBLEMA que tiene el SENADOR es que cuenta con una sala de espera aprox para 130 personas donde te ofrecen agua de Jamaica, natural y cacahuates mientras esperas, o cervezas en $20 pesos y las Chicas que se encuentran en la recepción NO TE INFORMAN (aquí pondría 1 estrella) tiempo de espera puede ser entre 2 horas y hasta 4 horas... (TIENEN EL DEBER DE INFORMAR UN APROXIMADO, y que sea decisión del cliente si se quedan o se van, esto lo hacen por estrategia para que la gente no se vaya) Recomendable solo si cuentas con un promedio de 4 a 5 horas para poder ir a comer al lugar. y no te importa mal pasarte con el tiempo de comida, De lo contrario NO ES OPCIÓN. nosotros llegamos 3 pm y pudimos comenzar a comer 6 pm.
