I rarely write reviews but the experience was so bad and so expensive I thought I would save others the trouble.

We went yesterday for dinner to give it a try. They had at least 8 servers I could count yet only 2 or 3 tables.

We were starving so as soon as we sat down I ordered a Cesar salad and some fries for my son before ordering our meals. I also ordered a glass of cabernet sauvingon.

The red wine came out ice cold from the fridge and was a very low quality glass of wine. There were 3 options by the glass with no info on what kind or where it was from. We then ordered our meals, mine the chicken and my husband the lamb amd asked for medium well. I asked what vegetables came with the chicken and was told carrots, onions and zucchini. I requested no carrots and they said no problem.

With in 8 minutes of ordering our FULL meals came out still no Caesar salad or fries. My plate full of carrots and my husband's lamb completely raw slightly cooked on the outside and was full of fat. We had to wait for one of the staff to come to get it cooked more. I requested my sons fries again, my Caesar salad again as well as the zucchini I had asked for with my meal.

My chicken was chewy and looked and tasted like frozen with fake grill marks. A quarter of the way through I found it was raw in the middle on some pieces and they took it back to cook again.

Each time someone came, it was a different person having to ask for the same thing over again while the others stood around or chatted.

Finally after I asked the 3rd person, they came out to make the table side Caesar. They brought out literally 4 lettuce leaves and covered it in the dressing with a couple croutons and a little teaspoon of alfalfa sprouts for decoration.

This was a 1000 peso meal and was very dissapointing. It probably one of the worst meals I...

We were a party of 6, reservation made days before and every party member showed up on time. There were only 3 other tables occupied, totaling 8 other customers with 1 table already on dessert. There was a total of 4 Front Of The House personnel- 1 captain, 2 back waiters and 1 bar back. Can you tell I was a Fine Dining Captain as a career yet? The food that was sporadically served-1 guest waiting 20 minutes after everyone else was served for his salmon- which he says was delicious but I observed it being taken from the grill and placed in the microwave, so that was obviously left off the order. The starter salads were never served, but sat in the kitchen window. We were told the bottle of wine we requested from their menu was being delivered from a nearby store; that didn't happen either. All of these missteps land solely on the Captains shoulders. I would give Tomahawk another try someday but I will be certain to bring my own bottle of wine and order my meal 1...

Today Sunday Feb. 11th there was a group of 16 of us for 1:00 pm at the restaurant.. The reservation was made the Wed. before... They only had available 7 Corona beers, 1 jug of Chauvenet red wine, no white wine, no mixed drinks nor coffee and a limited amount of meat dishes and sea food... When we got there, the table was not set for the group, the staff was busy talking amongst themselves in the back and were on the cellphone, we all had been sitting there for at least 20 minutes before I had to call someone over, but to ask if we wanted something to drink... Anyway, make a long story short, we all left disgusted... In the 20 yrs that we've lived here, we've never had a bad experience like this... None of us will ever recommend this restaurant to any one... The worst experience we've ever had... Paisanos, este es el peor restaurante en la Rivera de Chapala... Una horrible...

NEW LOCATION ON LIBRAMIENTO Staff was friendly but NOT trained or ready! We were a group of 20 with 4-days advance reservations and assured by the manager to our group leader they would be ready for us. Not close! Staff confused. The menu was only a “wish list”! Many meal items out, no white wine in the restaurant on a Friday evening, solo Corona cerveza, and no agua mineral! Steaks 🥩 overcooked & undercooked, our salmon 🍣 was cold inside. Third 3rd time back on the grill it was finally hot and warm inside…too bad since the sauce was tasty as were the veggies, rice and potatoes. I don’t know if they are going to make it in this location either after closing down in Laguna Mall. Very disappointed. Train the staff and stock your restaurant.

Great steaks. Great Service. Great Atmosphere. While its out-of-town roadside location is less than ideal, Tomahawk is nevertheless worth the drive to get to it. The service here is excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and the quality of the meat on offer here is frankly superb. Prices are somewhat on the elevated side, but they are still quite fair, given the superior steaks available here.
