Irish travelling Mexico! Giving this place a 5 star review as essentially everything within their control was perfect. The food and drinks were really good and the pool was great. Also had easy access to a stunning beach with the clearest water that was so warm you could sit in it for hours.
The only drawback was that it was completely empty which I struggled to understand. It could be because we are in the middle of October but the amenities are plentiful and it's so much nicer than PV itself. No aggressive vendors, better beach, cleaner water, great food! We were the only people there which felt a bit awkward and didn't give a good atmosphere. If there were more people there, I would like to stay there every day! The club is the ground floor of a condominium block but we saw no other guests come down.
It's 1800 pesos per person, of which 1000 can be used towards food and drinks. The food is reasonable which is great. Cocktails are 285 pesos which do add up is the only thing. You pay when you're done so no prepayment needed. The total bill incl tip was 6400 pesos for two people. This is expensive for Mexico and might be a turn off and why no one else was there.
The service was excellent. The only small thing was that when I gave a 9% tip (rough estimate of the bill) I got called out on it. Fair enough so I actually increased it to 15% but I thought that was a bit cheeky. We also met the owner who came over and spoke to us which was...
Read moreI live in Vallarta full-time and have had my eye on Xalli Club for nearly a year. However, I always hesitated to make a reservation because of the high day pass rates. However, I decided to treat myself and my 11-year-old son for my birthday, and I am so glad I did.
Not only were the facilities clean and absolutely beautiful, but the service we received from every staff member was amazing from the moment we stepped into the moment we left. The food and drinks were fresh and flavorful, and my son loved the fact that there were fun "mocktail" versions of each of the cocktails that I ordered.
Xalli is family-friendly, and there were also a couple of other families with kids there, but not once did it detract from the relaxing environment. There is seating around the pool area and plenty down by the beach (where most of the other families were), so we never felt crowded.
The wine bar upstairs was closed when we arrived but open when we were leaving. We had quite a long wait for our Uber, so the bartender invited us to relax at the bar and offered to make us a mocktail/cocktail while we waited.
My son, the biggest food/service critic ever, said that Xalli is "the best beach club ever, and totally trumps 'that other one' we always go to." So there you have it, folks. We will...
Read moreThe setting at Xalli Beach Club is undeniably beautiful—peaceful, well-designed, and right on a stunning stretch of beach. It has all the makings of a relaxing afternoon.
However, the experience did not match the price point. We arrived at 3:30pm and paid $1,800 MXN per person for a day pass, only to find out that the kitchen closed at 4:30pm. Everything felt rushed—bar last call was at 5:30pm, and staff started clearing guests out soon after. We weren’t even allowed to stay and enjoy the sunset from the pool or beach area, which was really disappointing after paying a premium.
If you’re planning to come, make sure to arrive early to get your money’s worth. Otherwise, it’s hard to justify the cost for such a limited...
