Carnitas Michoacán El Rey — Restaurant in Mérida

I've walked by this little restaurant near my house probably 50 times. We lost our power for several hours yesterday so I decided to try it out. What a gem!!! Lovely open air restaurant, wonderful music (although I wished they'd turned it up a little more on Saturday night), incredible food and ice cold beer with the best michelada ever!!! Since I eat vegetarian, I ordered the Quesadillas with no carne. The best tortillas I've ever had. Absolutely delicious!!! Friendly staff, excellent service. This is a must try.
