I saw on Google maps that it said "Cocina Tradicional" and I was sold. There was a couple there halfway through their meal when I arrived with my parents, my wife and three kids (girls). My wife and mom split a pitcher of horchata. The girls, my dad, and I split two pitchers of limonada con chaya. That lemonade was amazing! We ordered the empanadas de chaya (which were to die for) and an 8-piece botanitas (which were also amazing). Watch out for the salsita, it's delicious and no joke! After a failed attempt at cochinita pibli (Pueblo Pibil), my mom ordered it again and it was divine. My dad and I ordered the Poc Chuc. It was very good. The taste of the wood on the meat was delectable. My wife was in the mood for Sopa de Lima and they went and made it for her without it being on the menu that day. Luis Miguel was our server and his wife was cooking that day. His grandmother, Dona Clotilde was taking a break from cooking, though we met her and her husband. Luis Miguel's three little girls came out and played with my kids in the garden. They shared stories of what they plant and harvest and what they use daily. Their tortillas (handmade) were delicious. What an amazing destination for homemade cooking. We...
