Delicious American-style barbecue in Uruapan.

BBQ is a very regional cuisine in America, where sauces and rubs and cuts of meat are varied and different from state to state.

As different as the regions may be, the commonality that ties together all good BBQ is cooking the meat low and slow.

Xhuba has an enormous Myron Mixon smoker and uses oak wood for their slow cooks, and you can smell the deliciousness all the way down the street.

The way to go is to order a combo plate. All the BBQ meats are tender and juicy, but the pork ribs are truly fall-off-the-bone tender. The rub is nice and has a good bit of heat and flavor. As for the sides, the cole slaw is crisp and tangy and works well with the meats, and the Texas toast is made with a freshly baked milk bread that is addictive.

All the house made sauces are excellent, especially the Texas style sauce. It's fun to try all the sauces from the different parts of the USA on your plate.

But don't fill up on BBQ meats, make sure you save room for dessert!

The homemade cinnamon rolls were soft and pillowy, and the cheesecake has an excellent raspberry sauce.

This is a restaurant you'll want to visit again and again because of the excellent BBQ but also because their menu offers items like Detroit style pan pizza and gourmet burgers.

Next time, I will try some of their housemade sausages and the fresh king-size dessert donut topped with crispy bacon.

Muy decepcionado por la experiencia que vivi, es la primera vez y tal vez la ultima que vengo a este lugar, el servicio fue bastante pésimo sinceramente, entiendo que hoy fue un día muy con mucha gente, pero no justifica el trato que nos dieron, de todos de los que pedimos solamente comieron dos, lo demás nunca llego, estuvimos una hora y media esperando y solamente venían para decirnos que ya no había los ingredientes para nuestra comida. Seguimos esperando hasta que al final nos desesperamos y nos fuimos, y se me hizo muy mala onda que en lugar de ofrecernos una disculpa resulta que fue nuestra culpa ya que nos dijeron que a la próxima para evitar una situación así debíamos de reservar y ademas de eso reservar lo que uno vaya a comer, es la primera vez que me dicen algo así, totalmente absurdo en ninguna parte hay algún aviso diciendo que que debes de hacer eso, que triste el trato que le dan a sus clientes, el lugar es muy bonito pero en servicio dejan mucho que desear, sinceramente se escuchaba rico lo que había ordenado, lastima que...

Excelente servicio, los chicos que me atendieron super amables, se nota que saben muy bien lo que tienen que hacer y lo hacen excelente. Los alimentos se entregaron super rápido.
