IHOP Cuernavaca — Restaurant in Morelos

The "Eternal Breakfast Restaurant"; Nice decoration, nice breakfast food, very American, obviously, some dishes are totally different from the typical Mexican restaurants.

It is expensive

Coffee, juice, fruit, bread, everything is priced extra.

The value added is the pancakes that comes with some dishes; however it is too much food for the Mexicans: For example one small omelette + pancakes is just too much food for the average people.

The place was built from scratch so they really missed the nice lovely weather at Cuernavaca city. Outside tables with umbrellas, terraces, plants, etc. There is an area of the restaurant that can open the HUGE windows so at least some fresh air.

ADVICE:

1. They could definitely invest more in a Mexican touch to the menu, perhaps with time.
2. Prices are not so competitive but I assume the owner and managers know what they do
3. Investing in some outside green area, it's really a good idea. It's really a weather waste.

El acceso fue rápido, tomaron la temperatura y dieron gel antibacterial; nos guiaron a la mesa y en pocos minutos se presentó la mesera ante nosotros, hasta ahí todo bien. Sin embargo, al pedir los alimentos la mesera nos ofreció otros platillos por un extra, entiendo que hay que ofrecer, pero en mi caso se nos ofrecieron 3 platillos diferentes por un extra cuando ya habíamos hecho nuestra orden, un tanto insistente. El paquete de desayuno no incluye café, es aparte por $39 pesos, cuando en todos los restaurantes el paquete lleva café y jugo o fruta, sus paquetes no son baratos. Los aderezos para los pancakes tienen un costo como leche condensada o crema batida por $10, en otros lados va de cajón uno o varios aderezos. Respecto a la comida, la papá hashbrown tiene mucha mantequilla y rápidamente se enfría y hace sebosa, la salchichita está muy grasosa, escurre de aceite o grasa; el jamón es hiper salado, los pancakes (según platillo estrella de ihop) se desmoronan, como si tuvieran mucha levadura, no tienen esa consistencia de pan. Mi paquete (el de la foto) consistía de 1 papá hashbrown, 2 salchichitas, 2 triángulos de jamón, 2 tiras de tocino, 2 huevos y 2 pancakes con un costo de $165 pesos, aproximadamente, a eso se le agregó $39 del café (refill) y $10 de crema batida, total de $215 pesos, aproximadamente. El paquete de mi acompañante era de 2 huevos, 1 T-Bone (delgado), 1 papa hashbrown y 2 pancakes por $290 pesos aproximadamente, una malteada de $70 pesos y $10 de lechera, total $370 pesos, aproximadamente. Personalmente, creo que por el precio es mejor ir a un buffet donde se puede encontrar mayor variedad en alimentos y un mejor equilibrio nutricional como fruta, cereales, verduras, etc. Aquí son carbohidratos, grasas, proteínas y...

Much like the IHOPS you'll find in the US, prices are about the same with the currency conversion. I was there on a Friday around 11AM there was a moderate crowd but I waited only 2 minutes to be seated and about 8 minutes to be served after I placed my order. There are ample parking and the Service was great.
