There is only one thing and that's Huevos Motuleno and they do a great job at it. The place was packed 10am on Thursday many visitors from Merida and different parts of the State, Country and foreigners visiting Yucatan were present. The food comes in 2 versions 2 or 3 eggs everything else is the same. Eggs are fried to your liking and serve on a tortilla with black beans, I would say it might even be a tostada and another tortilla on top like a sandwich which you can't really see because of the delicious tomato, ham, sweet peas and probably other ingredients, place on top making every bite very tasty. In addition you get some hot bread to accompany the dish which can be used to dip in the sauce that is generously place on the eggs. Bread was also good. You get with this a drink not much to choose, 3 options that day horchata, hibiscus (jamaica) or coke regular or diet. We also went for the cake desserts they had as another business hangs around offering their products we stuck to Dona Evelia for consistency. We had a cake with queso de bola, banana cake and nata cake (not sure what that is probably milk). All 3 were pretty good and were large pieces so we took some home. You can probably share each one with another person. The place is packed and a bit noisy because of the packed tables but very friendly and fast service. Price very reasonable 4 people was 415 pesos plus I gave server a tip that amount is your option. Definitely would go back it's about 1 hour drive from Merida most of it is getting to the main road otherwise it would be 30 to 40 mins. Enjoy these traditional eggs that originated in this town.
