Get there early, around 10am on a busy weekend in high season, to get the best location & chairs.
Very dog friendly but the must be on a leash at all times. Bring water for your dog.
We rented a beach umbrella, table & chairs, & two loungers. There were nice umbrellas at almost all the the loungers were very old & many were broken. However we did not get there til 12:00pm so perhaps only the old ones were left by then. We managed to get two of the last ones that were ok.
The table/umbrella/chairs were cost $350 pesos & two loungers were about $50 pesos, on a Sunday at the end of the high season.
The rental service was fast & helpful. The bar server was cheerful & quick for our friends.
The food & drinks looked very good but we had brought our own which was fine. You may not have to rent the table/umbrella if you purchase food & drinks.
The beach was huge, gorgeous, flat & clean. We could walk out a fair way into the surf & there didn't seem to be a current.
We were there on a holiday weekend & the facilities were packed with people. There was plenty of room further down the beach for those who brought their own chairs & umbrellas etc.
The parking was $100 pesos for the day & was convenient. We came by car & it's a long way in from Hwy 200.
The patios, terraces & restaurant looked pretty & clean but we were on the beach.
There are two bathroom buildings. We used one nearest the beach, it was new, very clean. Access was $10 pesos per person & there was a tip box for...
Read moreWe visited the Nahui resturant and came to enjoy our time. When we got there, 2 waiters had mentioned that the cost for tables and chairs would be 250 pesos, but if we were to spend 1,000 pesos or more in food, the cost for the table and chairs would be returned to us. Well, after we were done eating and had spent a little bit more over 1,000 pesos, the waiter had not mentioned or given our 250 pesos in return. He decided to keep the money and keep his mouth closed. The way I see it, these people are scammers. If you're planning on coming to visit here and eat, keep track of what you spend and what you're...
Read moreIf you visit la playa destiladeras, then this is the place for you. a four-star restaurant right on the beach with palapa covered dining or beachfront tables with umbrellas. the prices are about average for higher-end beachfront dining in the Nayarit area, and all the food is delicious. I especially like the leader sized pina colada. if you find yourself in Nayarit, and want to beach where there are no rocks and it is easy to swim, this is the place for you.
