Hands down the best Mexican food I've had while visiting Monterrey. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience this is the place to eat.

The decor is bright and vibrant inside, the staff is friendly and accommodating and most importantly the food was awesome and delicous.

The dish I had came with guacamole which was really delicous and rich, the steak was really tender and the rice was seasoned nicely. Tortillas comes out nice and hot and the chips and salsa they provided at the beginning was crunchy and spicy! Lemonade comes with no sugar so you have to add it yourself which is no big deal as you control how sweet you want the drink to be which is fine and almost preferred.

Overall it was an awesome dining experience that I will definitely...

We had a 30-minute wait, but the entire patio was empty. We were later seated on the patio. No one else was seated on the patio for the hour and a half we were there. They were not busy at all, so why the 30-minute wait? When we were ready to order, we were told that we could only order from one page of the menu. However, they were out of some of those items they had listed. They were actually out of the house salad, the simplest item on the menu. Once I finished my water, I placed my empty glass on the corner of the table, hoping it would be refilled. There were three waiters standing around talking to each other for most of the time we were there. They never once stopped talking to refill my glass the entire time. Then we noticed something very nasty! The wait staff was taking the used, leftover salsa from other tables and adding it to fresh bowls for...

Went there for lunch around 2 pm. Really good and quick service. Place was not to crowded. Food was good with a really fair price. So if you want a good option with tasty food for a reasonable price I recommend La Chalupa. It's also situated at the central plaza of Santiago. Parking could be a little difficult but you could find good options within 5 minutes walking distance in the streets nearby.
