El Pescador — Restaurant in Oaxaca

I highly recommend this place for an authentic seafood Mexican experience supporting local fishermen. What we ate and drank was fabulous (papaya juice, lemonade, the unexpected and complimentary spiced peanuts and tortilla chips and queso, and the fish ceviche and tacos). The service was extremely friendly and helpful for us who don’t speak Spanish. We sat on the lower porch/deck overlooking the bay which was cool and comfortable. This is my favorite place in Puerto Escondido to get the best ‘camarón al aguachile’ and ‘tiritas de pescado.’ A hidden gem recommended by all the locals. Attentive service, fresh seafood and very affordable.

Fui y las tiritas son como 2 palmas de mi mano, las naranjadas y limonadas tienen los gajos, no la limpian. Las tiritas que me comí estaba rojas (CRUDAS). El guacamole estuvo bueno, es lo que si me comí.
