Hacienda Santa Martha — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Great atmosphere and wonderful place to bring the family if you happen to be visiting Oaxaca. The food is great! The wife is not usually crazy about buffet style restaurants, but even she said this place is an exception. Foods available range from traditional mexican fare, to creamy pasta and potatoes. Tacos and carne asada are cooked and made right in front of you. The large and ridiculously spacious play area for kids is like nothing I have seen. There is even a retired DC-3 aircraft in the back of the play area that has been turned into a giant slide. The cockpit is open, so your future pilot may sit down and imagine he/she is flying off to unknown destinations. There is a zip line also for the kids, but we didn't get time to try that. The bathrooms were clean (enough said.) Feel free to disagree with me if you know better, but this was the best food and atmosphere experience we had while eating...

This restaurant was amazing! A hidden local gem that I would not have visited if it were not for family treating me here. The restaurant is buffet fare. It has all of the foods that Oaxaca has to offer under one roof and you can try all of it. Only for 245 Pesos per person, that's about $12.30USD per person. Drinks are extra and they offer lots of variety of juices and alcoholic beverages. There's no time limit to your meal, and they encourage you to stay long and eat often. The property is beautiful and huge. Lots of areas to walk, roam, and explore the grounds of this hacienda. They have little playgrounds for kids, a Zipline and more. There was also live music playing when I was there. Lots of parking and I did see many arrive by taxi too. The food was great and I had the chance to try many items.
