Las De Asada — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

The food and service were good last year and at the beginning of this year. Over the last 5 or 6 months, it has become a strange atmosphere to eat there, so my family and I orde our food to go. The teenager named Chori (kind of sounds like Chorizo) that sits behind the computer doesn't speak loudly, and he has a difficult time communicating. He is the person who takes phone calls and takeout orders. Even though I pick up food orders about 2 times every 3 weeks, He seems the young man has reached a point in his time working there, where he asks people with local accents where they are from. Specifically , It's to find out if he can overcharge.

The last 2 visits to pick up our dinner, I noticed that receipt, which was an order taken in person by Chori, and I compared it to the menu prices. Every item he charged extra money for. Of course, when I showed him the printed receipt, he was quite fast to say it's not his fault. He did give every excuse under the sun, including that his computer system has different pricing and even when as far as saying my Spanish is so horrible that he had no way of understanding what I was ordering (even though I am from north Mexico amd spanish was my first language and i also lived in the United States)..

Tried it, it's 2 blocks from our condo, what's there to loose. Cheap prices.Had a Margarita not expecting much, it was actually very good in a big glass. Tacos were as good as the El Fogon, less spicy Al pastor, my hawaian Al pastor pizza was well garnished but the dough was undercooked, kinda roll in the mouth if the dough is not cooked well. We will go back for more tacos, not so sure about the pizza though, too bad because it was and looked delicious, got to work on getting it right. It's more quiet than...

Este lugar me encantó especialmente por la pizza de pastor. No sabía que existía una combinación cómo esta: es una pizza de masa tradicional pero le agregan carne de pastor (del mismo trompo que se usa para los tacos) y piña 😋. ¡Pruébala! Vale la pena.

Los tacos de pastor también en encantaron... nunca te deja mal un taquito al pastor.

Y si quieres algo más de zona costera entonces te recomiendo pedir el cóctel de camarones. Lo hacen al momento y si le añades salsa Valentina será la gloria 🤩.

La atención es excelente y el ambiente es muy agradable.
