Crocodiles Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Progreso

2nd visit to the Progreso & Merida areas. Again rented a beach property very close to Crocodiles. Not only does it deliver a neighborhood bar atmosphere, but it backs it up with good food, service, and wide mix of locals and visitors. Being a Wisconsin native, this bar is very similar to the warm, neighborly, and inviting atmosphere you’d find in any Midwestern tavern or establishment. Staff is polite, friendly, & engaging. Management, Gwen & Daryl, are responsive, present, and enjoyable to be around. The locals were kind, courteous, and very engaging. Great kitchen staff - the food comes out hot & fast - very solid bar food!!! I personally miss the outside seating area, but I was very impressed with participation and turnout due to their pickle ball courts (although we do not play). Living in Las Vegas these days will distort your perception of great food & service, but take it from me, Crocodiles is well...

I miss the old Crocodiles. The new place is like a gym with a restaurant afterthought. The food is mediocre and several people have suggested that the drinks are watered down. I have to agree, they were the worst margaritas I've had. If you go, order wine or beer. The mixed drinks are bad. The pickleball crowd is happy. It's a nice, new court and it's always busy. The best part about this place is the market on Wednesday mornings. There's a great selection of vendors and food. You can get delicious grass fed beef and some of the best ice cream I've had the pleasure of eating. Tim's coffee is fresh roasted and ground and very good. 5 stars for the market. 3 at Best for...

My friends and I stayed in Progresso for a week and found Señor Crocs the first night. They absolutely did NOT disappoint! They were accommodating for our needs and were able to give fantastic suggestions on nearby attractions during our stay.

There are pickle ball courts in case you want to get a good workout while having a fun time One of the nights we were there they had karaoke and it was a blast!

The food and drinks were excellent and the service, owners, and wait-staff were all fantastic and attentive
