Los Cochinitos — Restaurant in Puebla

My experience at Los Cochinitos was unfortunately not as expected, considering the many positive reviews the place has garnered. We decided to make a stop here on our way to Quintana Roo, with high hopes for a memorable dining experience.

Regrettably, the carnitas meat, which should be a highlight, turned out to be disappointingly dry. The rest of the meals we ordered also left much to be desired in terms of flavor. This was certainly not the culinary experience we had anticipated based on the restaurant's reputation.

However, it's important to highlight the outstanding service provided by the staff at Los Cochinitos. Their attentiveness and friendliness were truly commendable and added a positive aspect to our visit. In fact, the service was so exceptional that it almost tempted me to consider a higher rating despite the disappointments in the food department.

In summary, Los Cochinitos did not meet our expectations in terms of the food quality, with the carnitas and other dishes lacking flavor and moisture. However, the exceptional service provided by the staff cannot be overlooked, and it almost warrants a higher rating on its own. Great place to stop on the road. The restaurant is right by the gas station. They have a large selection of fast food dishes, and traditional Mexican food and drinks. Also there’s a sweet stand with different types of candies, desserts, and pastries.

If you come with kids, they have a playground in the back of the restaurant. The place itself is clean, organized, and fast waiters.

This is a great solution for anybody who in a rush, or on the road and looking to grab something to eat....

Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious, the restaurant is spacious and the bathroom is clean and awesome. I would say the prices are a little too expensive, they will always charge for any extra, like the things that cannot be missed and should not be charged: onions, beans, avocado or guacamole etc. But the food is really good. I think the portions are small for the price. But the seasoning doesn't make you feel so bad...
