A 20-course fine dining experience for a little over $100 usd is a pretty good deal imo. However, it is only worth it if you can eat a lot because only then you will be able to enjoy all the food. First off, we get a mezcal cocktail with some popped jelly and some spicy salt on the cup. It has a smokey flavor, tastes okay. Then, we have margarita in a chocolate covered in gold. The next couple appetizers bring in a lot of texture and flavors. I really like the walnut with chocolate, truffle, and foie gras. it is really delicious, a little sweet, a little savoury. One thing that I don't really like is we have to use hands for the food. The fruit salad with cheese powder, citrus sauce, and chili with butter paste is really interesting and I like it a lot too. The homemade tortilla with beans wrapped in a leaf with ant eggs and chileatole sauce is very earthy. Next up is the seafood. This is my least favorite part because I'm not a big seafood fan, and also a couple of the dishes are raw. And I think for this price, I expect some sort of substitution if the guest can't consume raw food, but there are only 2 substituted dishes and the rest is just taken off. I got cooked octopus instead of raw seafood with some creamy sweet and green sauce that is really tasty. It is a little sour and has a hint of spicy but I still like it a lot. The other seafood dishes are okay, some not that good. The beef cooked with plantain is really amazing. You eat it with warm blue corn tortilla. The meat is very tender and the plantain paste is really delicious. For dessert, the chocolate ball with ice cream and guava is yummy. The crepe with sea salt ice cream is a little too salty for dessert imo. The chocolate pop rocks caramel is good as well. As this point, we can't really eat anything else anymore so can't give accurate reviews on the chocolate tower. Service overall is good. It is located in a very...

So we were not staying at Azul. We were staying on Isla Mujeres and I did some research into the best restaurants in the Cancun area. I decided to make a reservation at Le Chique even though we had to take a $30 ferry and $70 cab to get there and back. We were notified a couple weeks prior that there would be guest chefs the night that we booked our reservation. I was fine with that as it was my birthday and I figured it would be an even more memorable experience. Well, the entire experience was above and beyond anything I could have expected. First we arrived and were treated like guests. Given free drinks while we waited for our reservation, multiple people checked on us multiple times offering more drinks. Once we were walked to the restaurant I was blown away. They gave us the best seat in the house for my birthday. We were seated in the Dom Perignon wine room. Again... we were not staying at the hotel, we did not pay extra. They just recognized it was a special occasion and took care of us because it's what they do. THE SERVICE...Holy hell. Amazing. The food... Spectacular. There was not a particular flow where one dish led to the next. Instead each bite kept you on your toes and led to question after question for the waitstaff who just got the menu yesterday. Please go with an open mind and enjoy this rare culinary experience. This is a true food meets art experience and when it's all over you will wish you could go back tomorrow and do...

We made a reservation to go here during my babymoon. As you can see it was CLEARLY listed that I was pregnant and allergic to mushroom. When I arrive, the FIRST dish had mushrooms in it. When I reminded them of my allergy, they were so irritated. 3 people came out to ask me crazy questions "is it really bad allergy? can you eat the food just this one time? it will be a hassle to accommodate you"

Additionally, I was nearly 7 months pregnant and with twins so my stomach was visibly BIG. They kept forcing me to get the menu with wine pairing. My husband even said to accommodate them he will get the wine (he is NOT a wine drinker) but they wouldn't let it go. someone else came out and asked why I couldn't drink. I pointed at my belly and he said, it's okay. wine is not that bad and it is not big portions... Like WHAAT? I ended ordering the juice portion so they would stop Harassing me about drinking (3 juices that were remixed. orange juice, pineapple and I think the last one was even mixed in with soda or something.)

I have been trying to contact management but have been ignored. Be aware that THIS is the service that this "Michelin star" restaurant delivers.

At this point I was fed up and wanted to leave but they said they would still charge for the 20 courses. The food? very mediocre by the way! cheddar cheese in orange peel, very overwhelming to...

Le Chique: A Culinary Journey Through 22 Courses Dining at Le Chique is a special experience, we enjoyed our dinner with our table in the wine cellar. The 22 course dinner has the theme :Journey Through The Flavors of Mexico”. The meal begins with a series of small bites and appetizers, each one more intriguing than the last. From there, the courses keep coming. The presentation of each dish was just as impressive as the flavors. Each course was a work of art, with ingredients arranged in a way that was both visually stunning and appealing to the palate. Some of the standout dishes: Golden Margarita which was served in a chocolate, orange sphere their version of the cesar salad (which was a bite sized wrap) The “walnut” course which was actually hazelnut, praline foie gras in the shape of a walnut. The texture and flavor of this dish was incredible. This dish was also paired with a sweet wine from Italy and wow, one of the best pairings we have had to date. The mole with veal sweetbread was delicious The first dessert, “Between the Moon and the Clouds” was a meringue with the perfect texture. After dinner we got a tour of the kitchen from the chef, nice touch. It’s easy to see why Le Chique has been in the top 50 restaurants in the world. #foodieheaven #culinaryjourney #tastingmenu
