If you are in Yucatán, you must go to San Felipe and eat at Kiko's!
Kiko, the owner/ chef/ and now our friend, was an incredibly kind and welcoming host, and all the food he made for my wife and I was absolutely delicious, fresh, and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself was comfortable and clean, and only a short and lovely stroll from the water through the peaceful streets of San Felipe. I 100% recommend going to Kiko's!!!
We ordered the Filete al Coco and the Pescado Al Horno con Ajo, and from the quality of those dishes I am sure that any dish Kiko makes is great. Nonetheless, the coconut fish was phenomenal; perfectly battered and fried with coconut, freshly caught that day, well seasoned, juicy and delicious. Get it!!!!! The sides were tasty and plentiful, and the aguas frescas cool and refreshing.
