On our way to the Ruta Puuc, we decided to stop at this humble roadside spot, hoping for a genuine home-cooked meal—and it delivered. We went with a safe and simple choice: Mexican-style eggs and a Coke (no ice), avoiding chicken just to play it cautious. The place is modest, but the women running it are incredibly kind and hardworking. It felt good to support the local economy in such an authentic setting.

The atmosphere is like being invited to breakfast at someone’s home in a small Mexican town—simple, unpretentious, and full of heart. The food was delicious, the bathroom was clean, and the total cost was about $190 pesos for two...
