La Antigua (Cerritos) — Restaurant in Sinaloa

For my own personal experience, the food was of good quality, but service failed this time around. all other things, cleanliness, environment, etc were all great.

Let me explain, first I ordered a strawberry milkshake and it came with no taste of strawberry, but rather a smokey pepper taste, almost like the Lay’s Jalapeño chips if you know the one. Perhaps the blenders they used weren’t washed properly enough. But regardless, they brought out a new drink for me to replace it, although not very quickly.

The wait was very long to get our food, but it came out hot and tasted great. I wish the portions were a little larger, but that could just be my American custom.

Sadly, service especially failed when a person I was with was already frustrated as the wait for our food was long, and when the food was brought out, it turned out to be the wrong order. Service once again asked for forgiveness and quickly brought out the correct order, but the meat was visibly raw. So my friend simply chose to not eat. Management came and tried to fix it but unfortunately it seemed like they were just digging themselves into a bigger hole. In our case, they apologized profusely but also just said "excuse us, for we are human". Mistakes do occur, but it is no excuse and that's the reason quality management must exist.

It simply seemed to me the output of the kitchen does not match the capacity of the dining area. We came during rush hour during the holidays, so it the wait is understandable but the service is...

I really wanted to like this restaurant. It has an old country feel to it. The first time I went the food was horrible. Then I read the reviews and thought to myself. Maybe the cook was just having an off day. So I chose to give it a second chance. Again food was horrible toast burnt eggs over fried hashbrowns burnt bacon undercooked. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Then I find out on the bill that they charge for the kids play area. Also on the bill they charged for the takeout containers. On top of all that CHECK YOUR BILL. They added 2 additional meals we didn’t even order on the bill. They have a smooth little scam on the bill. I can end this on more positive note they do have good waffle. They should make it a Waffle House. And try not to cook anything but waffles. Big let down. I will not eat there again and don’t recommend. So many better restaurants to go to...

Do not come to this place!! The waffles are always cold. They never ever make your order the way you ask them to. They are fast because they don't listen to you and bring you whatever they want. The wait staff is always talking amongst themselves. To get someone i normally have to stand up and wave! Don't ever come here!

Does that picture look like crunchy bacon to you??? I guess ill give it to my dog. My dog also gets the soggy hashbrowns. If you have dogs its a great place they can have 1/2 your garbage meal

And for a family of 3 we spend over 1000 pesos, so bad, cold food and bad service for 60 USD.
