El Timón Restaurante — Restaurant in Sonora

The restaurant itself has a great presentation. I like how we were recieved at the entrance.

However, the food tastes very bland. Not sure how the restaurant has over 4 stars of rating. The vibe is also boring. Not to mention it's pretty pricey. Wouldn't recommend.

Suggestions to the restaurant: Staff should interact more with patrons, make small talk, joke around, etc. Our server didn't check on us, only took our order, brought our food and brought our check. Seemed bored and waiting for us to just leave. Perhaps change the menu up a bit, make it seem more exciting. Have your staff take an interest in your customers, strike up conversations, check up on us, etc. Turn the TV on so we can watch something...

Ordered fish balls and garlic shrimp. Both were delicious, and portions and prices were fair. The chairs' cover can get pretty hot therefore uncomfortable in the summer. Bathrooms are nice and tidy. The service though was not at all great. After asking for a minute to review the menu, the waiter took 10. Also, we waited in vain for the check, I had to go get it and pay myself. This didn't happen to customers around us for I do dare to recommend...

I recently had breakfast there it was ok. The food IMO is a bit over priced for the locals. The staff was friendly but the food wasnt anything special. I had the Scandinavian eggs they needed more seasoning or something. I would have gave it 1 star because of the prices and the fact the electricity went out while I was there.
