La Llorona Restaurant-Cantina — Restaurant in Sonora

We went to try it out because of the reviews. They serve you 3 dips for the chips which were beans, guacamole, and a cucumber salsa. I did not loved them but they were a good appetizer in the meantime our food was ready. We also had horchata mazapan and Tamarindo. I loved the mazapan horchata, it was very sweet but I liked the flavor, the Tamarindo was not good it was made from concentrate and didn't taste natural. They should make their aguas frescas fresh. I asked for the flautas, and my husband got the fried quesadillas. It was ok, I really like the salsa on the flautas, I like the variety of food they have on their menu. I will visit again and I'm hoping I like the food...

Their birria is certainly way better than any I've had in a long time. It comes with chile on the side and I had to use all of it to get it spicy enough. My partner had the mole and it was delicious, too. The aguas frescas are also really good. We had one limonada de coco and one pepino/limón. Both were great but the pepino was better. This hidden gem is probably one of the best in all of Nogales! We went for breakfast, I highly recommend the chilaquiles rellenas with chicharon. Wow that was sooo good. Everything is made from scratch, so if you are in a hurry, go somewhere else. But any wait is worth the quality food that is so flavorful...I am picky and don't really like most restaurant food, but this place I can recommend...
