5-Star Ribs & Beans – A Must-Try BBQ Spot in Rocky Point!

If you’re craving Texas-style BBQ in Rocky Point, Mexico, this little spot is definitely worth a visit! The restaurant is clean, air-conditioned, and smells amazing the moment you walk in.

The ribs were absolutely phenomenal—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I’d come back just for those in a heartbeat! The sweet beans were delicious, rich, and full of flavor, and the fries were great too. We also got to sample the collard greens, and they were amazing!

However, I wasn’t as impressed with the pulled pork, which was a bit dry, and the brisket, which lacked a good bark and was more salty than flavorful. The potato salad had a strong egg taste but lacked balance in seasoning.

That said, their barbecue sauces were incredible—each had its own unique, delicious flavor. I’d definitely recommend stopping by and ordering the ribs and beans. We did visit at the very end of the day, so that might explain why the pork and brisket weren’t at their best.

Overall, a great BBQ spot, and I’ll definitely be back...

Went with friends for a birthday celebration. Tried a combo plate. Pulled Carolina pork, corn on the Cobb& potato salad with a cornbread muffin. Three kinds of sauces to choose from.
