Tacos de Armando is the quintessential Sonoran taco experience, however, if you are looking for the best tacos in town this is not the place. The place was recently featured in Netflix so there is s renewed interest in dining here, reservations are highly recommended.
The tacos are abundantly served, so don’t immediately order 4-5 as you regularly would; these are not street tacos, they are Sonoran tacos. I had the Armando tacos but unfortunately the meat was chewy and lacking flavor. Not sure if this was due to how busy they were but overall the tacos left a lot to be desired. We also had the Queso Fundido which was perfectly served.
Service is great with multiple servers tending the entire place. They all coordinate so regardless of who is serving you, if you need anything, anyone can help.
The best part is the salsa bar which has a variety of different salsas as well as great guacamole, cooked onions and more. Make sure you stop by and spice up your tacos.

Tacos de Armando has been recommended by family in Hermosillo Sonora & it easily THE BEST RESTAURANT in all of Sonora ! The meat is tender & flavorful. The ribeye dinner is a big portion and will satisfy your appetite. Comes with a cheese quesadilla as well. The carne tacos are big in size & when you add all the toppings from the taco bar, it does not disappoint! Coming from America , this plate will easily be worth 2-3 times the cost. Great atmosphere & all the tables were seated with customers. The horchata was delicious and sweet. All the servers were rapidly helping us and bringing the food to go as well. Been wanting to go here since I saw it in Taco Chronicles on Netflix a few years ago. Finally got a chance to go visit my sister last month. And before flying out, we had dinner there. Itbwas more than I expected it to be. The beef is excellent. Unfortunately, they were out of tripa that evening. The place is bustling. So busy. There's a line outside when we left.
