Sole Cafe — Restaurant in State of Mexico

As the tour of the beautiful state of Mexico continues, we stopped by today for lunch based on a recommendation. As we walked in, we couldn't help but notice a pungent smell of floor cleaner. However, the spirits were momentarily lifted when we were immediately met by a friendly waiter, and took a seat. The menu had a lot of choices, anything from traditional fare to american offerings, such as hamburgers. I ordered the red enchiladas. Upon receiving my plate, I was excited to dig in, as the food looked well prepared and a good serving size. Unfortunately, after the first bite, the excitement turned to disappointment. The enchiladas were extremely bland. It seems as if their red sauce consists of nothing more than a can of tomato sauce! Even a gringo such as myself knows that the sauce should be a chili based sauce, and also contain onions. In my opinion it was a true disgrace to enchiladas and the vibrant community of Jilotopec. I will still give it three stars based on service, and don't want to come off as an overly...

What can I say... The service is dreadful, you have to ask for napkins, salt or pepper because there's nothing on the table, the waiters sometimes are unpleasant and indifferent, you have to wait so long for them to come and bring you what you ordered or that they bring you the bill. The music is outdated and out of context for the kind of place. The menu is poor and is not worth the price because the food is plain and the portions are small. Finally the environment and decoration is weird and not comfortable. So I definitely don't...

No recomiendo este lugar, y es triste que aunque cuentan con una excelente ubicación en el centro del pueblo: no puedan mejorar cosas tan necesarias como el servicio, la rapidez de atención, la calidad de alimentos, las instalaciones!! Me pareció increíble que no tuvieran jabón para manos en el baño, y ojo ¿que acaso no es algo básico en un lugar donde se sirven alimentos? parece que llevan semanas sin gota de jabón, ademas, el lavabo estaba tapado (como se aprecia en la foto) claramente no le dan mantenimiento a sus instalaciones, incluso la puerta parecía que trataron de abrirla a la fuerza, dándole un pésimo aspecto… pero lo peor fue que entre cada pedido de mi orden hubo una diferencia de tiempos de 15 y 20 minutos, mi paciencia se estaba agotando, literal, ya estaba terminando mi latte y apenas llegaron con mi orden principal: porque tuve que preguntar! El lugar no estaba lleno, simplemente creo que sus meseros no están capacitados y aunque hay varias personas en la barra no se coordinan. Definitivamente veo lejos que reciban su 10 o el 20% de propina 🤷🏻‍♀️

Y a los que pregunten si al menos los alimentos fueron un wow, no, no lo fueron.
