Matanzas — Restaurant in Tecámac

Reservations are needed here but it’s absolutely worth taking your time to book and come down and enjoy the delicious food and drinks and outstanding service. My cousin picked the perfect place for this family reunion we had here yesterday! Zenaida was our server she made us feel super good her welcoming was so sweet…starters the house offers a deliciously spicy seafood broth with bread or saltine crackers for you to enjoy while food is being made. They have an enormous amount of different drinks to choose from we had Margaritas Mango, strawberry, lemon, tamarind,maracuya and also Piña colada and horchatas. Our main dishes were all absolutely beautiful delicious and fresh! You have ti we all order different things to give each other a chance to try, but there’s so much to choose mainly seafood but there’s other things for those who don’t like seafood also so don’t get discouraged. The deep fried fish chicharrón platter is stunning the way the serve it, it’s a huge red snapper curled up and deep fried some of the meaty fish has been cut into big chunks for you to enjoy dipping into their side of guacamole, whole red snappers cooked and steamed with a huge portion of mixed seafood is also so yummy this comes wrapped in foil they open it right in front of you! The coconut shrimp are good crispy and delicious…their garlic fish filets served with mashed potatoes and spaghetti cut veggies looked so tasty, the Steak Alambres is thick chunks of grilled steak sautéed in lots of colorful green peppers and onions and melted Oaxaca cheese on top served with tortillas. I picked their jumbo shrimp with sautéed mushrooms and garlic lots of azafrán shrimp comes with the head still attached and served with a delicious crispy salad that has cranberries and peanuts and goat cheese with a tangy dressing and a side order of rice with veggies. They do have a kids menu, my nephew enjoyed some chicken nuggets and fries…there’s also a great kids zone for the little ones to enjoy playing in while adults are being entertained with live music and and abundance of great vibes. Cuban decor throughout the beautiful restaurant and it’s definitely a great choice to come celebrate a loved ones birthdays or any event. So if you happen to be in Mexico and you want some delicious and exquisite fresh seafood and more this is the place..coffees and desserts are amazing too their tiramisu and cappuccino coffees are great delight 🇲🇽🌻I highly recommend this place for anyone to come try and enjoy the great service and tasty cocktails and outstanding food choices the only downside is they only accept cash and deposit into their accounts which while traveling I find that a bit uncomfortable especially if you’re wanting to treat your family while you’re visiting from international travel. AGREGAN PRECIOS MAS CAROS AL FINAL El lugar es bonito, el día que fuimos había ruído ya que estaban soldando la entrada, el valet parking es optativo cuesta $40 pesos para llevarlo al estacionamiento del restaurante que está a dos calles, el mesero al principio fué amable al atendernos, la comida sabe bien, los precios comprados con otros lugares son un poco más caros, el mesero fue muy insistente en que pidiéramos una entrada o incluso que podía prepar una bebida enfrente de nosotros sin embargo le dijimos que no gracias, y al final al momento de pedir la cuenta notamos que en las bebidas NOS AGREGARON OTROS MONTOS MAS CAROS, el clamato en la carta vale $55 y solo tiene un tamaño, en la cuenta lo pusieron a $88, luego habíamos pedido una margarita que en la carta vale $125 y el mesero dijo que sería con tequila Don Julio, y en la cuenta pusieron una copa de Don Julio 70 en $218 , le pedimos una explicación al mesero a lo que el respondió algo sin sentido dijo que no nos dijo los precios porque no quería que nos ofendiaramos, entonces no es justo que engañen así a los clientes, la verdad no vamos a regresar y queremos...

Mal servicio. Dicen que abren a las 9 am, pero no tienen mesas preparadas y limpias. Me senté y mi mesa no la limpiaron, solo las que estaban vacías. Llegue a las 10:30, pedí mi orden y una cerveza, me tomaron la orden y regresan y me dijeron que las cervezas se vendía después de las 11 am( entendible , por norma) entonces pregunté si tenían jugo, me respondieron que si, pues pedí un jugo de naranja, después se acercan y me dicen que no tienen. Se tardaron media hora en mi pedido de camarón y pulpo precocido; luego ya que son las 11 y están a punto de llevarme el platillo, me dicen ya son las 11 para su cerveza, evidentemente no la pedí (ya estaba algo molesta), no me dieron tostadas, al hablarle al mesero que estaba enfrente de mi como a 2 metros (casualmente no me hacía caso) siendo yo la única como clienta sentada, después de decir: disculpe, disculpe como 7 veces, otra mesera que iba pasando me vio, las pedí y me contestaron que no había tostadas 😤, que estaban esperando a que llegaran las tortillas.
