Califortacos — Restaurant in Veracruz

Visited after a recommendation from Villa Florida Hotel, not really impressed as it was just average. Food took very long, prices were average and portions were more on the small side, consider that if you’re really hungry.

The atmosphere was kind of chaotic rather than relaxing, on one side you have a huge TV showing live talk shows, while loud Spanish pop music is blasting from somewhere above the tables, but then you have tecno music from the terrace, and reggaeton playing loud at the kitchen.

Waitresses had an attitude, never greeted us, never smiled, and it’s probably they are used to cater for frequent patrons who can order without seeing the menu, as they showed discontent when I asked details about some of the dishes. At the end, none thanked for our visit, nor invited us to return (not that we were planning to). I wonder if the owner of the place...

Lugar relajante y ambiente 100% familiar. Una terraza en donde se puede tener una plática amena con quién desees estar. En cuanto a la comida, tiene toque casero y nada elaborado y muy acorde a sus precios. LO BUENO. El lugar y su decoración sencilla pero cálida y de buen gusto, además de la presentación de sus platillos. LO MALO. La carne de la hamburguesa estaba muy sucia, en el sentido de que tenía mucho nervio, o grasa, pero de la chiclosa, no de la que da sabor, el lugar está bien, pero desde mi punto de vista, prefiero la comida bien hecha a tener un lugar muy bonito... Ah y otra cosa, no venden tacos, solo burritos, hamburguesas, alitas, así que si quieren ir por unos de suadero o pastor se están...
