We did a shore excursion from the cruise ship, which included sightseeing of flamingos, the best lunch we had during the entire cruise trip, and then playing in the water. Hubby ordered the deviled fish (Mayan spice diablo) and I ordered the butter garlic fish. The first was the catch of the day and was sea bass. Best fish! The rice was divine- the seasoning was perfect and loved the vegetables the dish came with. Everyone was so kind, the atmosphere was relaxing, and you got to choose between the Caribbean Sea or a gorgeous pool. Hammocks, swings, chairs in the sand, and shells as far as the eye could sea. We stopped here after a long beach walk ( end of Jan ‘25).Fantastic setting with the palapa, pool and beach. First a couple of beers for our thirst. Then we ordered garlic buttered lobster and Cordon Bleu. While waiting for our order, we thought a basket of chips and dips would be on the table like most restaurants, but not here ! So while waiting we took a dip in the cool refreshing pool, which was very nice ! Luckily it was not a cruise ship day otherwise this place would be really busy. There were only a few other people there. Food arrived. The lobster was buttery and garlicky. Sold by the kilo. Wife’s 1/2kilo was $600 pesos. La verdad es que nos quedamos sorprendidos de lo bonito que es el lugar. El servicio es excelente, la propietaria ofrece el servicio de reserva unos días antes y te puede ir a buscar al centro de Celestun y llevar de vuelta cuando hayas terminado la estancia. El consumo mínimo por persona es de $300 y básicamente con eso ya tienes acceso al daypass completo, hay una piscina, baños bastante amplios y regaderas. Los baños no eran los mejores, despedían un olor bastante desagradable y como que no tenía bien una fuente de dispersión de los olores. Hay varias mesas con sombra, hamacas junto a la piscina y un pequeño muelle (que no llega al mar) para tomarse fotos. La atención de los meseros es excelente muy atentos, sin embargo, si es bastante cuestionable que solo haya 3 para la cantidad de personas que llegan a haber en el transcurso del día. La recomendación es llegar entre las 10-11am, porque hay menos gente y se puede disfrutar de todos los servicios sin que se sientan saturados, cerca de la hora de la comida es cuando más se llena . En cuanto a la comida, el filete de pescado y las papas a la francesa son RIQUISIMOS, tienen un excelente sabor. Los camarones al coco sabían demasiado a marisco, lo más probable es que no estaban tan frescos como uno pensaría, pero estaban ok. No les recomiendo la horchata, tiene muy mal sabor. La mangonada y la piña colada están deliciosas, aunque a la piña colada si le faltaba un poco de dulzor. En general, estuvo bastante bien y no están tan exageradamente caros los platillos para las porciones que ofrecen. El arroz estaba delicioso. Los dedos de queso, igual y podrían mejorar en cuanto a la calidad del queso. Del resto, todo super bien.
