I have mixed feelings. The place is solid, the food is decent and tasty, but the service unpleasantly surprised us.

We arrived at 17:35, they invited us to go in, gave us the menu. We were selecting food. Waiter told us that the kitchen is closing at 18:00 (why so early?). Ok, we choose the dishes. The food was delivered very quick! It was good, I think you can get it from other reviews. But then I guess the "main waiter" started to go around us and looked in our mouths while we were eating. Like a shark in the ocean around the boat 🤷. It was sooo uncomfortable. Yes, he didn't say a word, but obviously he was hurrying us. Meanwhile they turned off the lights around us, also in a hurry. Then they forgot to include deserts to the bill and asked to pay it in cash because the card terminal already closed 🤦 (the first part I payed by card like a minute ago).

If the restaurant staff is so in a hurry to go home, then why to invite guests 20 minutes before closing 🤷

So I think its a nice place to visit but do it during the daytime. The territory is...

I visited the restaurant, the gift shop and walked around the grounds. The food was delicious the prices were good, the service could be a bit more friendly and/or polite. When we arrived in an uber and looked confused as we weren't sure which way to go. The valet parking person pointed to a door that lead to the restaurant. When we walked in we still weren't sure where to go we walked in a doorway and asked a gentleman if the restaurant was this way but he didn't answer. I was able to see the host table and walked over. She was pleasant and walked us to our table. The waiter did his job that's all I can say. We had a bottle of wine, appetizers and an entree, all were very good. We opted to have coffee and desert somewhere else. The ambiance was nice. It's a very old hacienda. The grounds/ gardens could be cleaner. Over all I gave it 4 stars and not 5 for the lack attention/friendliness and upkeep of the outdoors. Bathrooms were clean but in Mexico most bathrooms I've visited are very very clean. This one...

The restaurant portion of the hacienda was fantastic for lunch: lots of variety, well made meals and presentation. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good prices for this experience. We attended a wedding ceremony in a beautiful old chapel on campus. The reception was in a beautiful outdoor venue, but there were also gorgeous indoor halls. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, and most of our room was also well kept up. The bathroom, however, was in very poor shape, with lots of moldy grunge in places no housekeeper could miss. The woodwork in the bathroom hadn't been dusted in a long time and had lots of water stains. The staff in the hotel portion were mostly very helpful and did their best to accommodate us. The person managing the office was also friendly, but seemed disorganized. We never did get a second room key. Overall, a...

One of a kind location with amazing food. Visited in March 2024 with two children, 7 and 9. The building is a restored 380-year old hacienda. The staff were friendly and professional dressed in traditional outfits. The kids were enchanted by the peacocks and little deer on the property. The menu uses traditional Yucatan ingredients. No chicken fingers here. We ordered the salbutes (see picture), empanadas de chaya (a very nutritious spinach-like vegetable), and a to-share plate of cochinita pibil, poc-chuc, and lomitos. You can ask for the menu in English or Spanish to avoid surprises. Here’s the link to both menus: https://linkr.bio/haciendateya?from=qrcode Would absolutely visit again.

A must. Whatever you are into local, Yucatan food or Maya you should try and stop here for a meal. Luxury service yet very affordable each meal will deliver a unique combinations of smell and taste, to bring home what will be one of my best food experience in the peninsula. The flan is amazing, if you still have space at the end of it. We had it twice! They also have a special tray for sharing, combining the most famous local cuisine in one. Add a shot of ojo de tigre mezcal while outside you observe deers and peacocks curiously watching you dilated eyes for this great experience. Definitely recommend. Can get crowded so plan accordingly or wait patiently.
