My fiancé and I came here to celebrate our long-distance reunion and upon the sight of us, the front entrance hostess didn't waste any time to show us to a table with stained chairs, one of which included DIARRHEA (or what seems to be so) on one of the four chairs. I asked the hostess if we could sit at the cushiony seats with pillows and much better lighting and she said that those were only for those with reservations. She then gestured at a small table with 2 seats as our alternative if we didn't like our wide-width dining table. HOWEVER, soon after she left to go back to the front entrance, I noticed that the sign on that small table said, "Reserved". I wanted to take a photo of that chair with a brown puddle of diarrhea (if it was cleaned off, it was very poorly cleaned off), but my fiancé was nice enough to not make a scene from this infuriating situation and he quickly switched chairs. I did, however, managed to discreetly take a photo of the table that said, "Reserved", which we were offered, but not the other "reserved" tables; I noticed that some people were led to much better and cleaner tables and chairs than ours and no one asked these customers about any kind of reservation. The waitress was polite and helpful, so 5 stars to our waitress! She was always there when we wanted an extra order or when we wanted to take off something unappetizing from our food. As for the food, I came here because I saw off of Google that another customer had an herbal beef stroganoff some months ago, but to my disappointment, my beef stroganoff had a puddle of oil in its crater and is overflown with chili oil; it also had an unnecessary amount of dried onions and a massive amount of onions cooked with it (mixed with the beef and mashed potatoes), which was very different from what I expected--- perhaps the restaurant completely changed its recipe. The "Kansas" ribs were the best by far, but again, you can take off some dried onions as they were coated with dried onions and one of the other dishes was delicious, but I was disturbed by the raw and unrefrigerated ingredients and the waitress noticed, thankfully, and rushed over to take the raw and unrefrigerated ingredients off of our order. The dessert looked as if another customer has tried, didn't like it, sent it back, and that in turn resulted in us being served what looked like an already tasted dessert. As appealing as it looks on the menu, it had cheap jam inside like what you would get in an overprocessed breakfast bar that is sold in markets in low-income neighborhoods to try to make the poor excessively obese. The amount of orange juice seemed less than the milliliters that was printed on the menu, too. Overall, although the service (thanks to our kind waitress) was great, I don't think I'll be returning here anytime soon due to the overall experience, unfortunately. To get an idea of how appetizing the beef stroganoff was, here with my review you'll find what happened to it. But the worst from all that I've mentioned would have to be how unsanitary this place is kept (don't be fooled by the photos online) and hostile behavior and attitude from the arrogant hostess...
Read moreA luxurious blend of European and Georgian cuisine, this is a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy, relax, or celebrate those big wins in life! I love that this restaurant has an outdoor terrace with windows that are open (during the spring and hot summer months) or closed (for when it rains or during the cold winter season). There’s also indoor dining by the window with comforting couches for a group of friends, or tables and booths. It is very diverse seating!
Walking to the bathroom you can see the clear glass view of the chefs grilling fresh meat. The Kansas pork ribs are my new favorite! The meat is fall-off-the-bone tender. In Chișinău also in my opinion Mangal makes THE BEST khachapuri with the egg on top called Adjarian khachapuri, a cheese filled Georgian dish. Oh so good!
Andrian normally works here when we come and provides perfect service. He even brought me a vase with water for the flowers my boyfriend gave me that day.
All in all, I’m just a girl in Chișinău, enjoying the wins and life of celebration for everything the unique country of Moldova has to offer.
Come give this...
Read moreThe service was good, very responsible and pleasant staff.
The food was not so good. The entrée was served within 5 minutes after the order, that's faster than expected, but not bad. The main dish was served too early, about 15-20 minutes after the entrée, so there was no time to have a conversation with my spouse or to make room for the main dish.
I ordered the beef medallions, it was served with cold ❄️, tasteless sauce on top and giant ❄️ mushrooms.
My spouse ordered the veal shashlik and it felt ok, until we tried to figure the taste, it was too rich in vinegar. The whole evening after that, even after a 50 minute walk and a coffee, we could still feel that vinegar taste.
It felt really rushed we were not asked about how soon I wanted our dishes.
In conclusion, we will not come back, the experience was much less...
