I recently had the pleasure of visiting the “Codru Complex”, and I must say, it completely exceeded my expectations.

On a seemingly ordinary weekend, while sporting nothing more formal than flip flops and a tee shirt, I was invited by my wife to spend a day with the family and and continue a 65-anniversary of my mother who came from Ukraine to visit us and the grandfather. And so I went, expecting nothing much, but what I experienced impressed me beyond measure. First off, the location is stunning. As someone who has spent a quarter of my life in Moldova, I am proud to see such a gem within our borders. “Codru Complex” stands as a testament to the high quality of local attractions and the exceptional standards that can be achieved right here at home.

The staff at “Codru Complex” are another highlight. Their warmth and professionalism are evident from the moment you arrive. They go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome and well-cared-for. Special thanks to Valeria and Alexandra, the waitresses, Stas, the pool administrator, Andrew, the waitress administrator, and especially Gabriela, who served us with exceptional care both at the pool and the bar.

And let’s not forget the food. “Codru” serves ton the best borscht within a 30-mile radius of Chisinau. But here’s a tip: ask to serve it steaming hot (so that you are sweating while eating) in a deep bowl, with extra onions and garlic on aside, it might just become the best borscht with no second thought! Or just ask to serve it the way Vasyl likes. I’m sure the restaurant stuff remembered me. :)

If you’re looking for a place to unwind and enjoy yourself, I wholeheartedly recommend “Codru”. It's a perfect blend of natural beauty, affordability, top-notch service, and outstanding cuisine. Even the pickiest of guests—like me—will find it hard to leave...

Stayed for 2 nights with kids in July.

Great location near the forest. Although there's only a 5-minute hiking trail into the forest, I wish there was a longer, nicer trail as it's a beautiful area.

The marketing pictures of the place are misleading. The outdoor fire pit and the beautiful terrace with lights are available for an extra cost only; and it's not cheap—a fire costs $56.

Reception and bar service were excellent!

The family pool is great. The kids' playground and kids' club are conveniently located near the pool, so you can relax while the kids play. My only concern was the open gates leading into the forest; I wish they could be closed and opened only by adults.

The restaurant menu is good, with tasty food, though a bit overpriced—a tea costs $2.50. Although the place advertises having multiple restaurants, there's only one for dining, so the menu stays the same throughout the stay. However, the included breakfast was very good.

The room was nice, but even though we booked a Deluxe room with a forest view, the view was actually of a wall 😂. There was no daily room service, which was inconvenient since I needed the floor cleaned for my barefoot children. I ran out of toilet paper on the second day, and since reception closes at 10 PM, I had to borrow some from a...

I visited Codru the second time within two months. Both were for business purposes to conduct corporate training and management retreat. It is a good setting for teamwork and productive interaction between teams in an environment combining man-made facilities and natural scenery providing both inspiration and ample opportunities to recharge. The restaurant offers diverse catering services and has a beautiful southern terrace facing the forest apart from the pool view terrace. Having a breakfast, lunch on the forest view terrace is a good opportunity to recharge. It could and should be used whenever the weather allows to the full satisfaction of guests. Since I had an early departure in the morning, the restaurant offered me a good...
