I'm travelling alone, so I also go out to have dinner alone. But in this restaurant I felt like I wasn't welcome because I was just one Person.

I had the monkfish with shrimps - skewer and it was really good, but not excellent. Altough the portion of rice that went with it was much too small so that it didn't last for all the fish. So i had to eat the rest of it with the bread that was served with the maindish. Here i have to say that it was a whole basket of bread just for myself - way too much for one person, so that they would have to throw away at least half of it if i wouldn't have taken it away when i left. In times of scarce resources at least questionable.

Now the service: In a restaurant, where I pay this much for the food I expect the service to be excellent. But it just wasn't. I haven't been asked even the basic questions like: "Is everything ok?", "Would you like something more?", the servant seemed really cold and not interested in serving me. To be fair the dish I ordered was served withing 10 minutes after I ordered it, so really fast.

I also noticed the other guests on other tables being pampered and joked with, but not me.

When I was finished, the servant hardly managed to ask me, if everything was ok. I said just "yes - the food was good", but not so the service.

My dinner at this restaurant could have been really nice if the service fitted the atmosphere and the level the restaurant sees itself in. To be an excellent place everything has to be excellent, but nothing was.

No guest wants to feel like in a two-class-society and neither do I, especially because I pay the same price as every other guest, am respectful and want to be treated...

We are regulars at Catovica Mlini and come whenever we are in Montenegro, minimum 3-4 times a year. The setting is lovely and a little different from other Restaurants in Boka.

The food can be hit and miss at the best of times. Overpriced basic food, with the fresh fish being the best option. Today, as it’s mid-April, we opted for gnochi and the recommended seafood black rice risotto, after fish chowder for starters. It was beyond bad, I am afraid to say. The fish broth was over-salted, too much paprika, with hardly any fish, only edible after 2 slices of lemon. For the mains, the waiter recommended the black rice risotto, which was doused in oil, with frozen seafood - struggled to eat, should have returned, but didn’t want to make a fuss. My husband had a new dish - Jagus gnochi, which was atrocious, doused in yellow sauce (supposedly saffron).

The waiter offered us complimentary dessert, which was nice, however refused to make my husband a pancake (as not on the menu, but previously always possible), as we were not fans on the 3 desserts on the menu.

This used to be our favourite restaurant in Boka, however today’s experience will make us rethink our next booking. Perhaps, come for just drinks, desserts and coffee to enjoy the setting….

Hopefully, useful feedback for management to improve their offer for the...

We went there just to have one drink and enjoy atmosphere a little bit because we already have plans to eat somewhere else. I told to the host or waiter I'm not sure that we just gonna sit for a drinks and that's it. They gave us very bad table because we wanted just drinks even though they had plenty of tables empty. It wasn't even peak lunch time or anything like that it was almost five o'clock and we told them that we will stay just for like half an hour. They didn't seem to care. We were literally seated in front of the restaurant at tables that didn't even looked like they are for guests. Waiter didn't check on us at any point we were trying to call him to pay for like 15minutes. So at the end i figured out that he left our check at small table nearby and we just left money and leave. I was pretty disappointed with this experience and i didn't expect such treatment. But that aside, nature is unreal, you really need to see that. Such a peaceful place with a lot of birds enjoying in beautiful environment. Ducks are so adorable and we even saw little ducks 🙈🙈 All in all i still think you should visit this place but order food because you'll be treated much better for sure i could see how they act around people that had...

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in terms of location/ambiance - a real 5* experience in a beautiful location. When you arrive you would not believe the little oasis that is hidden at the end of the road, but the garden’s & restaurant are so peaceful and beautiful, and it is a lovely place to sit and watch the ducks while eating. The staff were incredibly welcoming, not making us feel rushed at all during our meal! The food was good - expensive but very high quality, and compared with the restaurants in Kotor it is definitely much more worthy of the price here! The portions are smaller than other places in Montenegro - but still plenty for one person, and the fish is so fresh! We had several courses, drinks and coffees and spent just over €100 for 2 people, and it was one of our favourite experiences in Montenegro - would definitely recommend!
