I regret to write such a negative review, but this was the worst dinning experience we had in our week long stay in Durmitor and the food is potentially hazardous so I feel obligated to inform others about it.
We waited for 20min until we managed to get the waiter's attention. He suggested we start with rakijas and decide on the rest when he gets back, so we did, and we ordered an appetizer as well. After another 30min I had to ask if they have forgotten about our order, and only then, after 15min, the appetizer arrived. The waiter quickly placed everything on our table and went away so I had to call him back to ask him if we could finally order the drinks and the main course?? Given that we have already waited so long, we decided to go with the Dish of the day hoping that we would have it soon... Another 30min have passed before we decided to cancel the main course and go to another restaurant because the wait was unbereable. When we informed the waiter about this, he said that the meals will be out right away. After 10mins, we got the Dish of the day or the pork chops with rice and vegetables (tomatoes and bell peppers). Not only was the meat as hard as the bench we were sitting on, the rice and the vegetables were also marginally edible. The cuttlery was of questionable cleanliness, as well. To top it all of, they manually calculated our total in a notebook (paragon blok) and we had no insight into the receipt breakdown. No apologies were offered for such a long waiting time. Not to mention that not a single plate from our appetizer or the glasses of rakija has been lifted from our table in more than 2 hours we have spent here.
Unfortunately, before we went here, we only saw the positive reviews on google maps. It was only after we got home and started to feel a stomachache that we saw the multiple reports of food poisoning in this...
Read moreWe came to have lunch but ended up leaving for another restaurant due to the rude waiter. He refused to let us sit at a table in his section simply because it was meant for five people, even though there were only two of us. He kept directing us to a corner table of the same size that was not in his section.
What felt most insulting was the clear sense that the waiter was judging how much money we might spend, and based on that, deciding whether we were “worthy” of sitting in his section. There’s no other explanation for why we were refused the table we wanted—especially considering other couples were already dining at tables of the same size.
If you're working in hospitality, you should know how to treat your guests with respect. Somethimes a couple can spend more money than a familly with 2 kids sharing 1 pizza. If this is truly the restaurant’s policy, then at least offer proper seating options for couples. In this restaurant, that’s not the case – all tables are for four or more people.
In the end, we chose to leave and went to another restaurant where we had a great experience. So, thank you for...
Read moreDont go horse riding with older people or kids, especially for longer tours. We told him we dont have any experience with horseriding and is it ok for kids and elders to go, he said yes. My 70 year old father fell from the horse, horse was afraid of the deer and start running my father fell. He was first in line so that happened to him, otherwise it could happen to me or my wife, we were on horse with two boys ages 3 and 5. Guy who was in charge of our group was standing shocked, I was yelling help the guy on the groung then he hold my horse so I could come down to help my father. Very unproffesional stuff in my opinion. My father mother and kids went back by car, me and my wife went back on horses. They charged me and my wife 20€ each after that. After two hours me and my father went to Pljevlja to the hospital due to the hard back pain, just by luck he is ok nothing was broken just a hard muscle injury. Someone else would sue them for all this. Otherwise it looks nice, restaurant on the hill, we didnt try food. Please dont go with kids and elders on horse riding but its nice to...
