Burger King Podgorica Zabjelo — Restaurant in Podgorica

I am writing this review after a year of experience. Not really sure what exactly is not working for this branch. Seems like management. Bar branch is way better, which means BG knows how to do it in this country, but for some reason this branch (of the capital city) is neglected.

ZERO quality check for anything, it has been a year and it's still hard for me to grasp how an international food chain can go so wrong in a place.

☑️ Burger patties are always over fried on high heat. Always! Either the fryer is broken or the employee. ☑️ I do not know how often they change the frying oil, right before the bite it smells awful. ☑️ Fries - locals make better fries than this BG. It is never consistent. And they do not hesitate in serving you ice cold fries. ☑️ Vegetables inside the burger are often dry. ☑️ Always out of Shakes. In all of my visits I only had it once and I ask everytime coz I like Oreo. ☑️ Ice creams, you have to be lucky.

In layman's - we have eaten here 12-15 times over the past one year. Never have I ever taken a bite and said this is what it is supposed to be,.. also, it tastes different every time!! Every f-ing time!! I mean what are they running !? a moody street food? Come on man, even street vendors today have standards, they know what their customers want to taste when they come to them.

There is so much to say about the food itself. I'm not going to bother myself talking about...

So having heard Burger King has opened in podgorica I finally got round to trying it. First thing to note is service is awful here. I am not sure when you open a new place you don’t install the automated screens which are common across the world. Instead you have 3 people looking at one till only serving one customer at a time. This takes forever. When I was served I asked for a chicken royale without mayonnaise, you guessed it despite it saying on the receipt I got one with extra mayo. Then I wasn’t even asked what drink I wanted with my meal, to be only told first all meals come with coke, then to be told actually it was my fault as I didn’t say what drink I wanted, despite this being a normal question to be asked in a Burger King and sure it’s part of the training. So clearly more needs to be done to staff training otherwise Burger King will soon come and go in Montenegro, when the excitement rescinds which I hear is already happening. Its Burger King. Not like European Burger King. It's more like a legit American Burger King. I wasn't sure if I could put cheese on the whopper... Maybe I didn't see it on the menu. I'm going to assume you can and I didn't see it. If you cannot... Then I should drop my review to 2/5. But yeah, if you're from USA and you ate BK growing up, this is going to be exactly what you expect. Fries are the same, burger tastes the same, correct pickles, the messy and chaotic topic of lettuce and tomatoes.... If you ate BK only at places like Russia, Finland, Netherlands etc... Then you're going to be disappointed comparing it. This is exactly like USA fast food. I don't mind that... There's a certain thing about these fast food places that make them special. Like taco bell. If this was on glovo it would ramp up serious competition...
